That looks like the perfect, American-Sicilian pizza. And I learned something: I always "knew" there was a layer of "thicker/sweeter" sauce on the bottom, but never put it together why it was. It's the thin layer of sauce your pre-bake before making the pie. Fantastic! This is quickly becoming a favorite chanel. Thanks so much for the all the great recipes. Ignore the trolls, you are a MAGNIFICENT cook!
My husband is a freak because he doesn't like Sicilian style pizza, "too much bread", he says. That's the best part!

I enjoy watching your videos for two reasons - your food ideas area always yummy and the way you go into explaining how to prep it and giving us tips and pointers on it is always appreciated. Secondly, your personality is what makes this show yours all alone. You come across as a fun and down to earth girl with a laid back approach to cooking which makes it all the while fun to just watch any random episode. Do I cook any of these - perhaps one day. But I sure do enjoy these little episodes.

Looks great, but definitely "American" style pizzeria Sicilian pizza, as she said. When I was a kid, my grandmother's pizza was almost like a focaccia, very moist, airy, and chewy inside, crisp outside. Of course every family's recipe is different. When we kids knew she was making pizza, of course we all asked for cheese on top... she would use Pecorino, no mozzarella. Boy, I miss that. There used to be some family owned Sicilian pizzeria's near me, but sadly, they're all gone now.
I think she said she had Sicilian relatives. I'd love to see one of their Sicilian pizza recipes, I think the dough would be very different.
