Thanks Pete .You are a breath of fresh air .As you say Pattaya & Jomtien is not Thailand . For the most part it's demograph is those seeking " What can Thailand do for me " .A place where learning some language , culture & actually integrating properly with Thai's can be avoided . I know you being a perfectionist you got despondent with channel growth .That's understandable as self expectation & ego is our worst enemy . I've seen a small channel blow up from a Songkran Vlog with 150,000+ views after a couple of days without rhyme or reason given the vlogs title & others that are slow burners . Regards biking , get some confidence on small islands where vehicular traffic is light . Thailand needs more role model expats with like mind as yourself & you sure have my admiration & respect

Its easy to fall in the girlfriend trap. Ive been mongering for over 8 years and this last stay i got very close to a freelancer i met in February 22. We haven't become a couple but she started staying 2 or 3 nights a week and I really enjoyed it. It was all about money to her which is good for me as it allows me to still monger with my other girls, but I definitely have feelings for this freelancer and know im sitting on a red hot stove so at some time theres gunna be a fire. But im just gunna roll with it and enjoy it till then
Lot's of opportunities to explore Thailand, maybe do intermediate conversational Thai language course, maybe some Yoga/Pilates, Muay Thai and coached weightlifting, etc. Lots of stuff to do and see. Enjoy, stay active, make quality friends and have a great life buddy.

Yeah, 3 of them were trolls and 2 of them were just jerks. I think they can still see my channel but they’re blocked from being able to make comments. The majority of my videos have a single dislike on them… and I feel like that’s all from one person whose upset they can’t leave troll comments anymore lol

Hopefully moving over to Pattaya or Jomtien June or July next year, probably on a education visa for 1 year, was wondering on how many lessons a week you take and a rough idea on cost of tuition as I think it’s correct of me to learn the language if I want to live there. I'll get you more info in next week's video but... I think the visa requirement is 4 hours a week and that's what my class had. My school was about 29k baht (about $825 usd) for 6 months and I think that would've included the visa if I were eligible.

I also had a Thai love story that ended on 03 November and I am still licking my wounds - as mine "crashed and burned". So, I am very much looking forward to a New Year with NEW beginnings.
I’m sorry to hear about your recent hard breakup. They can be very difficult to get over but I think looking forward to the new year is a good way to go. It gives yourself a goal and allows a specific amount of time for processing and healing. Here’s to the new year 🍻

My wife and I are headed to Thailand January first and we are heading to pattaya for a week. We have a condo booked in pattaya for march when we return from Vietnam so hopefully we like pattaya enough to spend all of march there? Keep making videos!

It's easy to stay somewhat focused when your working, but forcing yourself to stay on some sort of schedule seems like it's tough for most. I was supposed to see Incubus this year but life came up and I couldn't make it. I gave the ticket to a buddy and he said they were amazing. So I hope it lines up for you.
It’s something I worry about too, especially after going through some batches of it. Having come back out of it twice now, I’m finding myself less worried about it. It’ll likely happen again but I’m confident I’ll pull through with her found motivations each time. I’ve seen Incubus a couple of times but I think this one would be different. Not having the normal touring bands come to Asia regularly is one of the more difficult aspects of living out here for me.
Yeah, you moving from Austin. That has to be a big change. When I lived in St Thomas, I hated that part about it. Granted, I was in my 20's. I don't go to as many concerts as I used to.@@peteonretreat2023

@@LoganC1985 so, you’ll be really close to Peaky Blinders. Cool spot with great food. Both the Pratumnak Hill view point and Bog Buddha Hill are great chill spots where you can get a little exercise in too. In my area there’s the big Cliff restaurants with Chocolate Factory, 3 Mermaids and Sky Gallery being the most popular. There’s a few cool cannabis shops on Ratchawaroon with great lounges, video games and rooftop bars/cinemas. Dank Pizza is a great chill bar/cafe/dispensary. I’m a big fan of the Hill Bar as well and you can’t forget to check out Cosy Beach. Then on the other side of Pratumnak you have some food markets, more beaches like Pratumnak Beach and Paradise Beach, a ton more food and Condon and Cabbages. So much good stuff.

The visa video has been on my list to do… in short however, I just went to a visa agent. It costs a lot more but is hassle free.
