I started making this mod before the steam remake dropped, and I'd never heard of pillar chase beforehand.
The thing that motivated me to make this mod was my disappointment that nobody made Ao Oni during the Rivals of Aether RPG Maker Jam
Im pretty sure it was semi popular before allat, semi popular as in obscure but if you ask someone about it they are most likely going to remember a little.

Took me so long to realize the characters picked to fight the oni aren't random, they're meant to represent hiroshi and his friends (I'm pretty sure)
