Watkins Glen State Park. Off-season exploring, worth it?

- Part two of the New York trip takes Bill to beautiful Watkins Glen. Take in some awesome views, wander through a cemetery and even learn about some local legends this week. Even though the Gorge Trail was closed, Bill takes you to some interesting areas!

Awesome trails and nature. There's more to New York than just the city, clearly. Even the cemeteries look beautiful with all the autumn leaves. I've never seen a tomb stone like that trunk/tree/totem-like one. Great share, my friend. Big like!

The buildings remind me of something I would see back home in Wales! Even better that they're slotted away in Autumn swept forests! It looks like a beautifully maintained trail that would be a great place to spend the day! 😁🙌🏻

This is a place I always wanted to see in person, so thank you for sharing it here. There seems to be a wide variety of trails, I liked when you did the unmarked trail and the Hathaway Headstone was interesting to see. Boy the bridge and the views of that gorge are stunning. Interesting about Glen Mountain House. That is great about the shuttle. . That view into the gorge is surely stunning. I subbed too

Watkins Glen is totally closed of everything till end of April. I go in the beginning of April and due to weather most things are buttoned up tight. Snow and ice come in quick
Yah maybe I’ll get back up there one day and get to see the whole gorge
Too bad you were not able to hike the gorge. When I went there it was a cool climb up the gorge on a warm summer day. The trail took you behind a waterfall on the way up... or down.
