BONUS Tip!
Change your settings for Ability Charging from 'Hold and Release' to 'Double Tap'
>This will make it MUCH easier for you to use crushing bite with lunge
I 1000% agree, it was impossible for me to used the lunge with crushing when I had hold and release on but with double tap it’s so easy!

Something id like to add, ive been told that doing headshots on sleeping targets do even more damage because of the weakspots, so instead of the 2x and 4x, i was told its 4x(resting headshot) and 8x(sleeping headshot) edit: if some1 can look into this and confirm or find this false im happy either way
@@codymason1053 I was going to put in tips about headshot damage until I did some testing ~ For some reason I kept getting the SAME damage regardless if I hit the head or body. And I tested that on multiple dinos for two hours...
Could be a bug or they could've removed it entirely at some point or it didn't exist in the first place. I honestly want someone else to test this out.

Great tips. Some of these I didn't know. Here's my tip: If you ambush often, make it a habit to carry something in your mouth. Typing in chat with friends or even on accident makes noise, giving away that there's a sarco to anything nearby you want to hunt, carrying something disables that and makes you silent, and is dropped automatically when you attack.
Sarco tip:
When the dinosaur that you want to attack has already been made of your presence, you can feign being uninterested by acting like you’re diving in the opposite direction and then quickly doing a 180 once you’re under the surface. This works even better if you purposefully swim at the surface of the water for a few seconds instead of immediatelly diving because it reinforces your fake telegraphed intention. This has gotten me so many free kills because of the false sense of security it gives them.
Also you can win the underwater stam battle by kiting BACKWARDS around the opponent (water backward sarco sprint doesnt only prevent losing stam, but it actually regens it)
Its especially effective against ducks cuz of their atrocious turn rate
BONUS TIP!
Speed subspecies Sarcos are faster than the critters in the dens so you can much more easily complete those quests :)
Whoa... I didn't know speed hide would completely gimp your defense like that, but also didn't know how incredible defense hide was.
I love this video! I didn't realize a full charged bite takes 60% of a sleeping t-rex's health! Definitely good to know lol

Bonus Tip : for the new update make sure you are the one who gets first bite as it is better sense ambush and if u dont u wil lose the ambush dmg buff

I love playing my Sarco! The only complaint I have about my Sarco is that I wish they would put the ability in to be able to latch on and hold onto your prey and drag them down into the water!

Another tip, try to make tight turns when fighting other sarcos, this will cause them to miss attacks, and you will be able to land one yourself
Imagine if they kept the sarco's standard bite doing bleed, and added the second bite slot, bleed would insanely powerful

Great video. Unfortunately i had to stop using crushing bite because i play on mobile and it's not easy to hit. I had to use normal and ripping bite.

Exactly why I never let my guard down when sitting or sleeping. I try not to sit or sleep as much as possible because it makes me extremely vulnerable because of boosted damage I receive.

Great tips! But I have a question, would you recommend speed sarco? Because I’m wanting to play it.
I would ~ Great for escaping other semi-aquatics and for aggressive playstyles. It's my preferred sub.
How can I quest as a sarco? I see lots of videos showing how they get quests such as getting lake sponges but I normally get flower picking. Should I just go up and out of the water wishing for the best

Tip every sarco would recomend: sleep near water with ur dino totally safe

My older vid about fighting cannibals doesn't apply anymore with the new system.
So I can just give some tips - until I can make a new vid against cannibals.
Try to be unpredictable. I like to brake check them when they're behind me by making them follow then suddenly dropping down and swimming backwards below them. Also, use bleed if you have it - very strong against sarcos since you can force them to go to land.
With the new system, we can't just swim around in circles biting like it used to be.

unfortunately sarco no long has the thick or thin scale option, its either increasing swim speed or venom and bleed resistance which i havent even noticed any differences
Has the sarcos states changed much in 7 mouths I'm looking at getting this game if it's still good
I feel like depends on what server your on because depending on how much the owner has changed the stats.. some of these may be inaccurate
The tests shown were done on my vanilla server with no altered stats :)
But yea ~ for other servers it might play out differently

50% increase to defense for sarco when using thick scales. Whereas other playables only get around 30% since the nerf
Are the sub species for other dinosaurs/creatures the same. Well I mean in terms of balance, speed, and defense? Like the percentage is the same?
Last I checked yep, it's the same percentage difference between subs.
They need to add a death roll ability
Would be cool to get the croc special move for sure but I have heard that Sarcos were not able to do this, something about the structure of their head and jaws.
Correct me if I'm wrong as I'm not 100% sure on this.

I try to play sarco again but i just dislike the slow speed and i like the chase
I'm curious, for fighting other sarcos specifically, would a crushing bite/normal bite be better than crushing/ripping? Im curious your opinion 😊
Against other sarcos - I prefer crushing/ripping since I find it more reliable with the new water movement making fights erratic - meaning hit and run tactics became more effective than trailing behind another sarco with regular bite.

I can't load out normal bite and bleeding bite at the same time. The game makes me choose one or the other.
How can I use have 2 bites and a lunge ability on console?
You can change the binds on your controls - I’m on ps5 and the 6th (?) ability slot (which is square for me) wasn’t bound to anything else, so I used that and it made everything much easier lol.

in my own opinion, don't use charged bite for ambushes, you want to stay hidden and the charged bite gives you away

Hiya, and welcome ~ if on Gondwa map, I'd advise staying in the ocean as sarco until about sub adult before moving into the rivers. There should be plenty of quests in the sea for growth

Good to know pc players have an advantage against console.
How to ambush:
Kill fish
Drop fish close to hotspot shore
Wait in water
Dino come to eat fish
Kill dino
Eat fish + Recycle dino
Sarco does WAY to much damage imo

Well definitely good tips but damn. I could have done without the ear flashbangs with every point. Couldn’t hear your voice very well in my headphone at the start of the video so I turnd the volume up a bit and then about blew my eardrum out with the first ding. Even without headphones on after that, each one was extremely loud compared to your speaking voice.
