I was in Taipei, Taiwan recently and I decided to try out my Sony ZV-E10 APS-C mirrorless camera at one of the world famous, local street night markets (Tongchua/Linjiang Street).
I wanted to see how the ZV-E10 held up in low light conditions in photo and in movie mode.
In this video you can see some of the 4K video footage which I shot there at 24 frames per second and my thoughts on the results.
My apologies for the flickering which was caused by LED and other fluctuating lights used by the stall holders.
I hope you like the video. Please leave your comments in the comments section and i will reply to them.
Take care and be safe: Andy

Hi mate, as the ZV-E10 doesn't have an anti flicker setting. What would you do to tackle the banding/flickering.
    Kind regards

@@zombie_bear1797 many thanks for your comment. In answer to your question, I think the only way to reduce the flicker in this video would have been to adjust the shutter speed until the flicker disappeared (find the correct frequency). However, this would have been a solution for some of the flickering but not for all of it, as each street vendor was using different power supplies with different frequencies and therefore I would have needed to adjust the shutter speed for each street vendo's light.
Another possible solution could have been changing from PAL to NTSC to see if that change of Hz from 50 to 60 helped..

@photechvideo thank you for your response. I'm new to this, and the ZV-E10 is my 1st "real" camera. I've only had it a week, so I'm still learning from watching TH-cam.
I have subbed to your channel, I hope you hit a 1000 subscribers before the end of the year 😊.

@@zombie_bear1797 It is a real pleasure to be able to guide you in the right direction if I can. You are on the right tracj. I also learnt a lot from 100s of hours of TH-cam videos and tutorials and of course, I am still learning. Please feel free to ask anything you are not sure about and if I know the answer, I will be more than happy to help you. Enjoy with your Sony ZV-E10. When I bought mine, I already had a number of DSLRs and a couple of other brand Mirrorless cameras, but the ZV-E10 helped me to understand a lot more about photography and videography and now I feel more confident with my other cameras also. Take care and be safe. Andy
