NOTE; American charter companies have long been able to organize trips to Cuba via special charter trips to Cuba. In many cases, Cuban Ex-Pats who have been cleared by the Cuban government can and do return to Cuba, albeit restricted both in length and money that can be brought into the nation. These charters cater to the Cuban-American communities almost exclusively, and so have large demand in a city like MIA where AA has a base. AA 'leases' the plane to the charter company and so it goes. It's so often that AA does it in-house, but via some maneuvering to pacify both governments.
Guys excuse my ignorance, I am not sure, but I think that 757 from American Airlines flew as a charter, taking CubanAmerican back to the island visiting family. Very nice video, I think that day SCU has more planes than any other day.
I remember Skyservice. Flew with the Canadian charter a few times in the last 10 years; including Ft. Lauderdale, Punta Cana and Oranjestad. If memory serves, I may even have flown them to Holguin (or with Air Canada, I can't really remember). They went bankrupt in April 2010, 5 months after I flew with them to Punta Cana.
Ahhh the beautiful sound of that skyservice and American airlines plane... They sure don't sound this good anymore. Also I hate that American don't go for that metallic livery anymore
I understood no American registered aircraft [ref AA757] were permitted entry to Cuba! Could the Canadian registered A320 have flown non-stop from Canada to Havana without refuelling en route e.g., US
vWaLLBangz Um... American Eagle is the regional airline subsidiary of American Airlines and from my knowledge, American Eagle only operate within the border of the United States. All of the international and "long-haul" domestic flight is done by American Airlines.
@@N0616JCProductions Eagle also does MIami to Bahamas international routes and also did San Juan to Eastern Caribbean destinations. Also charter flights to Cuba.
Love the 757 with no winglets in the classic AA livery! One of my favorite combinations. Rarely see, would love to see more. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️
I love the Lada car that accompanies the American Airlines aircraft!!! :)
It was probably making sure there were no stowaways!
Me too!!!!
He wanted to be sure that american bird would go back to USA as soon as possible......

Oh, my God! Skyservice! I was working there right at the end, March 30, 2010 when we shut down due to bankruptcy due to management bungling.
The mighty AN-2 will never die. it will just putter into the sunset at 90mph.
