This is wonderful; .. nice idea guys! The reverse can act as a mechanism (force) for the propeller go anti-clockwise to slow or stop the ship!
But most ships or sea machines have brakes using a flap or propeller mechanism (below or at the side). There is a mechanism that stops the boats or ships.. may be an object popping out like a flap either at the sides or under it to act as a resistance. I think they did this in some battleships!
