Yesss that’s right! Just gotta make sure the quill size will matches up with your bike or shim it (I did a similar thing in my shogun build). Thx for sharing cheers!
Nah no problem at all, really depends on the type of stem. If you have issues you can scuff up the grip part of the bars a bit with sand paper or something to help
I like to play with my bike and swap components often ... I currently have the Surly Sunrise bars... but I would like to buy those moto bars. The Blygo bars are good. ... Are they well made? I also use bmx stem the Colony EXON II
I would say usually higher rise, more sweep and sometimes wider, so puts you in a little bit more of a different riding position. Pretty fun to me! but yeah probably something you have to try to see if you like it or not!
Isn't it a problem that the motorcycle handlebar doesn't have the ribbing in the middle, where it's mounted? They look like they're meant to make it anti-slip
That’s a very good question! Alot of ppl have wondered about that too - I haven’t had any slippage yet and I have done a road gap (jump) on the black bars with no problem! Just make sure you clamp them down and they should be good 👍
Gary is the only bike mechanic that can wear a white jumper and not get it dirty fixing bikes !
Hahaha I get dirty just don’t look too closely 😂
Love the size reveal on the quill adaptor, Dirty Boy!!
Some like it clean, some like it dirty !!
Have always wondered if this was possible...thanks for showing us how 👍
No worries! Happy to!
Nice simple vid sometimes you can used motorbike bars for pretty cheap :) good mod !
Cheers! Hell ya, quick tip: when looking at cheap bars just make sure they are not bent ! Good fun 👍
Pretty damn tuff! looks like a comfy setup too
Super fun!! Def made for a cruisey ride
Thanks garys.projects.
No worries !
There are BMX stems for threaded headsets too. These handlebars look good.

Nice vid always wondered if i could do this cause when i look at mtb bars the part that attaches to the stem is bigger then where the grips go on.
Ya sometimes you need to run a shim if you use your old stem
Do the mtb grips just fit straight on
Yep
@@garysprojects yes one thank u for the fast reply
do they rotate? is lack of knurling on bars in centre a problem?

They are not well made but they are definitely cheap hahah , I have used them for a few years now and they have worked well for me . Cheers!
Quick and easy😎
Awwww yea 😎
Is it any better riding with those compared to totally flat bar?

But yes you’re right the knurling is for grip
Normal bike handlebars don't have ribbing. ;-) but BMX and vintage bars do.
You can also make your own I realised haha
what is the handlebar in the first bike
