From Accelerator to Dead Cities, these guys made up what made my childhood, and later, taste in music. Especially the cultural phenomenon that was WipEout.
Been looking through other early 90s albums trying to find something I love as much as Accelerator, and there's just nothing as good, even from the names you'd expect (The Orb or whatever).
That's because FSOL were bona fide genius, way ahead of their time.......and the Orb was boring hippie muzak that sounded dated within a year. Accelerator still stands the test of time today, I'm always dropping tracks into my sets when I play out.....never gets old!
There are some good moments from a lot of them, but you're right, the sheer quality of their stuff across the whole spectrum is just so high. Their more recent stuff is still just amazing too.

Check out their Monstrous Psychedelic Bubble on BBC 6 Mix. They DJ and mess around the whole time. It's pretty fun!
