These videos are always a reminder of our own mortality. They are also a reminder of how short life really is. You wonder if he was childless, thus, no one cleaned his home out of personal items. It's always gut wrenching to see pictures of family or friends and the important parts of his life, now over. Ugh..
Even it people are childless, there is still family that exists; cousins, nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, friends. Too bad someone he knew couldn't get this house. It is a very nice house.
@FiveElements00 Cost of repairs/maintenance and property taxes; an outstanding loan taken out using the house as collateral; no relatives living in the area; family members too busy with their own lives or unable to cope emotionally. These are just a few possible reasons why relatives might abandon the home of a family member who's passed away. Another sad but all too common scenario is when the heirs to a property can't come to an agreement over who gets what and spend years battling it out in court as the home and it's contents are allowed to fall apart and deteriorate into an advanced state of decay.
Rather that it be left than some mindless fool of a son selling everything for short term profit, Like whipping the back off a Rolex to change the "battery" and couldn't see where it went, And that was on eBay and sold it for $40
Thanks Brent for sharing your explore with us. The first house is such a shame that the personal property was left. The second out building looks like a sound studio. 😊❤
Hi how are you. I haven't been watching your videos for a while but my husband passed last November I'm just trying to get back into things You always have great videos watching from St Petersburg FL But now in Jonesville NC
Thank you for sharing another groovy explorer. These abandoned homes always bring a sense of sadness to me, knowing at one time the home may have been a place of real joy and happiness And the belongings left obviously meant something to the homeowners and probably collected them throughout their lives together. But, it can bring a sense of peacefulness hoping the homeowners were believers and children of God and have moved on to a much better place than this current earth could offer. Better put some mosquito repellent in your bag along with a few masks. An emergency kit of sort. Thanks again for bringing us along!! I just thought maybe those phone books were meant for delivery and the deliverer just became bored with his job so he just brought them home and said let em google.
What a Labor Day weekend treat, my friend ❤️🙏🏾!!! Thank you so much!!! Let’s go 🥾🏡 !! Blessings from West Virginia, USA 🇺🇸 Shoutout to Bob Marley 🎶 🇯🇲 ❤
That was a beautiful home before it was abandoned. If the house is part of his estate, it may take years before its settled. The way it sits now, it can easily be refurbished. Have a great day ❤️🙂⚘️.
Yes finally some more farmhouses…I love these the most; so much history and heritage plus usually far less vandalized and decayed. Always love it when there’s a cool vintage bike in the mix as I especially love those.
Another really nice find 2 for 1 explore! This was an interesting old farm house with some beautiful old green glassware left behind. Looked like it might have dated back to the early 1900's with that field stone and old timber foundation. Thank Brent you for donating at the local mosquito blood bank!
Hi Brent -so great to see you again ! Thanks for the interesting explore and for all the effort you put in to bring us these videos . I'm sure it must be getting harder to find abandoned places now?! Gill 🇬🇧
I find it so fascinating when a house like this has clearly been ransacked, there's signs of vandalism and possible squatting yet there was quite a bit of glassware (specifically that green glassware) that was still perfectly in place. Someone mentioned the use of phone books for insulation - I wonder if those phone books were meant to help soundproof that second house, as it did appear to be a music/recording studio. Anyways, great explore Brent, keep up the good work buddy.
This was a wonderful abandoned house! I really enjoyed it. You need to get some Deep Woods Off to keep those mosquitos away. It's the only thing that works for me. I've always said that I could be one in a crowd of a million people, but the mosquitos always seem to find me. Must be cuz I'm so sweet!
Those were Napa Valley wooden cassette holders on the wall of the first room. They are getting hard to find! The out building appeared to be a recording studio with a small control room. Very cool find, Brent!
I was going to say the same thing, had the little control room window. Bass pedals on some kind on the floor. Those cassettes may have been things the guy was recording out there.
Hello Brent, This was a aweome video to watch and house to see. So sad to know he died and all that stuff is just left there. Too bad the town can''t clean it up and take care of the stuff in those houses. Those drums are worth something for sure. They look like they have some age on them to. Someone should rescue all of this stuff or at least the drums and the nice Piano. I watch all of your videos and always hit the like button. I also have a TH-cam channel and it is found by typing Jeffrey Hull Jr on the search bar. My son and I are on there digging for old bottles and there are nice videos to watch on it. I subscribed to you a while ago and my son Lew and I are looking forward to watching more of your videos. Take care and happy exploring to you. ---Jeffrey Hull Jr. (Jeff & son Lew)

The clothes told the whole story for me. His wife died, he missed her terribly and was probably extremely lonely in the years leading up to his death. I know, because my wife died two years ago and if it wasn't for my brother, I would still have her clothes. It was much harder than I thought to get rid of them. Even some of the worst looking junk to other people, held a lot of memories for me. Been trying to clear the old out lately, but it's rough. I need the room. If I owned a home, I doubt I would ever get rid of it. There's no worse grief in the universe than losing your wife. None. I feel sorry for that man, I 100% know what he went through. In a way, I am jealous that he finally has peace from his grief. I found an old birthday card from my wife today and ended up crying on and off all day.
Thanks for this comment Neil and sharing your story. I’m so sorry for your loss of your wife. Your a good man. Hang in there good things are coming your way 100%. Talk soon
I know what you mean, my husband passed away in 98, and I never really got over it. I kept some things of his and not a day goes by with me not thinking of him.
@@Bluerose888 I'm so sorry for your loss. I definitely understand you! My wife and I were married for over 36 1/2 years. There is a surprising lack of dust on the furniture!
The majority of the dust found inside of a home consists of dead skin cells that have been shed by living humans.
So theoretically the amount of dust found in an abandoned home should be minimal.

The foot pedals are for an organ
I think the drum set was for the guy in the photo. A band member & maybe lived in the little place & she in the larger house. Just guessing.
You need to have a great 8000lm flashlight LED to light up these dark homes.
I do 👍🏻
