Hey man the no rpm issue is probably the crank sensor going bad its on the driver side on the transmission near the brake booster. You should probably change it so it can stop going into limp mode .

As fun as this is, he definitely should put the money into the e36 and do like what jimmy did and get a ls and supercharged it then he would be able to keep with all the big boys and help his confidence when driving with all the other proper comp cars
He also legit has the ls3 Colorado that just sits there when that engine can be put into something else like the e46 chassis he has

Chris you need a dedicated turbo comp car. You do good with these shit boxes that aren’t full comp cars like the Genny and 370z but if you had plenty of power and more grip you could be a lot more competitive.

Hey i know you guys probably wont see this fr and idk if anyone else is interested but id like to see you build a car with an american 6 or 4 cylinder to compare with your imports, i like jdm myself but i recently got a car with the GM LTG which is the funnest car ive had in a while tbh, I did do research on it and its a pretty solid engine other than the fact it has higher compression stock, but i would really like to see you rival adam and his barra, Chevy made a vortec I6 thats 4.2l and most of the time will beat any LS with a similar setup. It would be interesting to see how you build such a thing because its something you dont really have to wait for parts as long as your used to and its not just another LS, its an all american rice boii instead of a japanese one! anyways i hope you have a great day brother keep up the great work

about the axles on the Gen, did it ever have a rear subframe swapped in from a genesis sedan? I've heard people do that because it increases frame stiffness, idk if it would make it need different axles though.

@@Jacobtheunwise It's NA, this motor was from a V6 Genesis, but the original 4 cylinder turbo in the car blew up in 2017.

You tune genesis coupes? If synthetic you should hook him up with a manifold riser and a flex fuel tune. Because tbh I feel like the current tune done by the last shop left a lot on a table. Since the other shop is so behind on tuning.

Chris you've got to pull up your socks, dude & level up with the comp. Get technical, learn some mechanics, get out of the lazy habit of cutting corners with your builds. If anything, take some tips from your NZ bros. You learned a tonne whilst you were there with them.
Break out of the habit of cutting corners & make the necessary sacrifices to ensure that you can remain competitive when needed, with a reliable car.
Just because your brand name is Junk doesn't mean that what you drive has to be the same. Looks alone, don't make a car go fast.
