I am not Chinese, but my uncle married my aunty, a lovely Chinese woman, before I was born so when I was old enough, she introduced me to the book, the 1986 show and the mythology in general. We still watch the show together at least once every year 🥰

journey to the west 1986 version has made a significant impact with this theme and now hearing it adapted into various games is incredible! what made this theme sepcial was the electric syths used in the original composition, which made it portray to the feeling of Wukong cruising through heavenly palace on the clouds. the original novel is one of the four great Chinese classical novels published in the 1500s, a good read if you can push through the length of it.
