When you listen to the A cappella portions of this performance at the very end of the song you are truly experiencing the genius of Angelina Jordan’s PERFECT PITCH. Sinatra, rest in peace Angelina Jordan, the Bare Foot Queen has taken the crown and there is nothing like her in the universe. When I first heard her perform this. I put it on pause and brought up Sinatra, Bublé, Streisand, Fitzgerald and Vaughan's version of this song to compare it to AJ version, and none of them moved me like this version. It is so hard to comprehend that Angelina from 7 to 16 is the greatest story telling being in my 75 years of experiencing great vocalist and I can't wait for the rest of the story. We are not only hearing it, but we are also feeling each word as though she were singing to each of us individually. She is the only one in this universe that is capable of making us feel the true emotion of this ballad. There is no way to explain this gift that has been given to the universe, does she even know, or understand the power she encompasses?

Those of us that have followed her for nearly a decade and realised way back then that this girl is something special and is going to be a phenomenal singer when she grows up.... now see every expectation realised and surpassed.

It is so crystal clear and smooth at the same time. What a wonderful introduction to her full voice and her mastery at phrasing. Love it!! I think to say that a song has been covered over 600 times by every jazz artist says everything about this song. Angelina’s version is largely based upon the Ella Fitzgerald version, which also isn’t surprising, because Billie Holiday may have been a major influence on Angelina, but she went to school on Ella Fitzgerald, and she got an A+.
