Sounds great! I subscribed a while back just because of your installation instructions for NFS Porsche Unleashed my favorite NFS game. I like them all though so this looks very worthwhile to try.
Interesting. I'm working on a different career mod that mostly aims to fill every single race with actual preset vehicles like Underground 1 did, instead of the randomly generated abominations that crop up. It'd also change up a few races (i want to add tournaments, endurances, usually with some bigger payouts) and add some things like optional bosses (some car unlocks will be tied to them), companion rivals ALA Underground 1, and I'd also throw in some balancing changes (mostly buffs to cars that really deserve it like the IS300 and 3000GT, well-deserved nerfs to the Corolla and Corsa, and also just personal bias stuff like turning the Supra into its turbo trim). With the release of UG2net, I've shifted focus so my mod would be based on it. I originally wanted to make two separate versions (one that solely uses vanilla cars and another that incorporates multiple well-made addon cars) but I realized it'd be much easier if I just made one version that just required having to install UG2net and several required addon cars (such as the Integra, S2000, NSX, and Silvia). So far, however, I think progress is a bit slow thanks to IRL commitments and desires, as well as the fact that I'm not the best when it comes to writing dialogue (I'm planning on adding more custom pre and post race SMS messages to better fit whoever is actually sending them).
idk if you still check comments on here but I installed this mod yesterday and so far it's been rly fun to start off in any car I want and I like the added difficulty, forces me to drive well and take better lines
Hey mate! Long time no see! How you're doing these days? Cool mod, really seems like something I should checkout. Though gameplay changes are cool I'm more of the visual changes, you could replace textures and dissable backed lighting in order for everything to be dynamic for example. This would improve the games look substantially. I'd love to help you with that though;)
Heya dude, it's been pre chill, how you been? I'm personally not really a huge fan of visual mods for this game actually, as a lot of them really mess with the aesthetic of the game and change the overall feel. For a lot of people this might be a good thing. But for me, part of the game's charm is that it looks like it takes place in a world that is perpetually stuck in the year 2004 lol. It's definitely possible to make the game look much better, but it just won't be the same for me.
This mod seems interesting and I know it's been a year since it's been put up/updated, but I was curious about something. For Passion, is the economy tweaked at all? I ask because Original's economy is presumably balanced around using one or two cars (one tuner and one SUV) but Passion has you going through the ranks again. So is there enough cash in the pool to support upgrading multiple cars, in case you switch to your desired car after unlocking it? Also, what order should mods be installed in? Should I put in the unlimiter before NGX or NGX first and unlimiter after?
You have to change some things. Rewards for races are insulting for amount of chore some circuits are(especially if it spams high tier cars like Skylines, GTOs and 350z at you) rubberbanding is just hedious overly punishing. Also either hide reputation rewards or make it make sense, its double the insult to see "0 reputation" for race i fought tooth and nail for againt cars that shouldnt even be in the event. I cant afford the perf upgrades, no cash pick ups are around the map and all i get is petty 350 dollars aside of sponsored races.... its just awful. Also reduce the number of laps a little not 10 or 6, but 7 or 5 laps. If you want to keep it that way then adjust the rewards to match amount of pain and time it takes with these circuit races. I dont see it as a challenge but insult when i have to do 6-10 laps for piece of trash reward. Most Wanted gave us thousands of dollars for races, It should be adjusted to race length/time. I just loose will to play after streak of awful races like this when AI just cheats by rubberbanding like stupid in front of me.
Hi im currently using this mod. Is there a way for me to lower the amount of traffic and number of laps? Thats the only 2 things i really want to change. Its a good mod but im just not a good driver.....
You can. You just need to find the right event in GCareers and then edit the lap count. You can also change the courses, payout, the opponent cars (you will need to make some presets).
It's hediously annoying especially on those long circuit races. Rewards are insulting?(350 for 10-20 minutes of torment againts too powerful cars). Reputation should be removed it just rubs insult into the face after i fight tooth and nail against stupid 350zs and Skylines in Audi A3 or any weaker car. Its catastrophicly annoying to play at the current state. I like extra traffic, but rubberbanding and chore of lap races combined with so petty stupid rewards makes me hate it. Cash pickups are gone. He has to update and fix this...
@@mymindmakesnoises I partly agree , but MW05 has it and its not much more mild and bots have to abide by the physics. So it can be fine tuned, but shit UG1 and UG2 has is just outrageous. They do over 90 degree corners at full speed without slowing down.
Nothing new. You can unlock all cars and parts from the start by using a save creator, and events length (amounts of lap) can be easily changed in binary. Funny how a mod that can be done in few hours, is presented as something huge or revolutionary.
I appreciate you making this comment because it allows me to add greater focus to one of the major reasons why this mod and this video exists, seeing as I mention this in the latter half of the video which not everyone will watch. That reason is to spread awareness for the modding scene of Underground 2, in the hopes that more talented creators will feel inspired to create content for Underground 2. NGX exists as an example of what can be created using currently existing modding tools and this video serves as a way to showcase that. If this video and this mod manages to encourage someone to make their own mod, my work here is successful. And on a side note, you mention that something like NGX can be made in a few hours, right? Well now, you won't need to spend hours and you can instead just download and install this mod and play it in minutes instead 😜.
Sadly, the game is broken at the start, because the Corolla is LITERALLY the best car in the game. INSANE cornering + massive top speed, low weight + good acceleration...
Same with 240SX. Good top speed, low weight, decent grip, and really good acceleration (to the point people get world record-like race times in drag racing).

I've always wondered why on such huge roads there is so little traffic. Now it's fixed B)

Is there an option to play this mod without the extra traffic?

How did you install nfsu2?
I tried you tutorial but my game freezes on the loading screen for example when you start an Event or go into free roam...
In the settings for the Widescreen Fix, have you set 'SingleCoreAffinity' to 1?
@@77Vids thx for the Quick response, i'll try that
how to install this do i just copy paste
Can you completely turn off the rubberbanding in career more?? Or tell how to do that. This is the most annoying thing in whole NFS series.

@@Kacpa2 Someone said the rubberbanding is made by devs who are too stupid and lazy to make a proper AI.

can this mix with nfs u2 last breath?
pro tip: don't use last breath

Corsa and 106 are also noteworthy offenders.
