Healers should just heal and buff, all this healers doing damage is stupid, I played hpal this season with an aoe heal only based play style and got ksm, would haves to play again this season coming but now I don’t want too because of this damage healing play style , it’s a shame
Yea, they buffed lot of skills in ptr, cs and sotr now heals, it is weird too, sotr uses shield and hpal melee uses 2hand back in few expac. Things are still subject to changes.
unfortunately no, the design aspect is now melee. so u have to be near the target at 5-10-15 yards, 5 yards is risky, 15 yards is ok but u wont be able to melee, at 10yards u can melee with the new talent in PTR as of 2/26/23 but regardless, your mastery will always be gimp lol whether you stand b/c the quality or the number/value of heals dramatically drops. it will suck in raid and if u have too many range in m+.

I love this style on my pally. I cat weave a ton on my rdruid as well!

You're playing it wrong
Compared to other healers paladin suck big time damage wise. They are only ahead of holy priests but they have PI.
