It does, you are not wrong. The main problem of LS, is that your shields apply only to you and tank, unless you manually chose. So I've been trying caster build in 10-11s. Pros: You have 5% more haste. You are not in melee. Your flas heal actually heals more then holy shock Cons: Lower damage, but usually nobody cares. Less burst healing and passive healing. Tyr's deliverence sucks.(Its so bad).

Hmm thats very low, but it should defends in fight, dps meter only counts effective healing. You shouldn't be using any holy light at all, it is only cast when u have nothing to do to trigger the 1% mana restoration. If your party is healthy and not in near death at all the time, 50k is ok, like i said dps meter doesn't work like heal meter. Try your heal in boss that do heavy aoe damage taken to the point you can barely throw little bit of dps.

My current heal can go up to 165k but thats b/c people are taking huge damage when i tested it in 2nd boss in heroic amirdrassil

Sure i haven't gotten the full tier set for this season, so far it haven't change but it is more buffed and lol mana starve when not using day break. Viable in 2nd boss heroic in the new raid too. I only puged it recently, so u won't have problem with it with casual runs.

imgur.com/a/rJbDZYP is my current build at the moment, u'll need the crit phial with that current attribute, as much i am trying to avoid mastery, my current gloves have it lol. i'll replace it when i get other tier piece. both melee and caster build will probably heavy on shock b/c of the new tier effects. it is like the old ethernal flame that adds extra healing effect that can stack 6x but passive or like druid hots. the stat min/max still remains the same, crit needs to be between 32-39%, or preferable near 39% while ditching all mastery if possible in exchange for verse while maintaining 1.1 or 1.2 cast speed for flash of light.

@@etiennegoujon5868 ahh it was b/c of shock cost, you could swap it if u want, right now we don't really have mana problem, the only downside with it ss how it functions at the moment, in order for it to be effective, someone in a party must have taken huge damage then apply it to another person or that person then heal it. Over heal doesn't add absorb damage. For divinity or that 2 talents in left side, i left it b/c of button bloat lol.

The dps is around 25-30k from doubling consecration mostly, it still low but high enough from other classes, hps other wised doesn't count as how dps is calculated, it is based on damage taken of the group and how fast u can tap them to max hp, if the group is taken damage too much then the hps would be very high.

You're achieving 25-30k DPS with a key level 17; you're really skilled.

@@TheCreoleBlanc lol the dps is just high at that patch, it got nerfed ever since. the melee version does slightly more damage with SotR mixed in at the cost of a GCD.

I decided not to use any addon in this expansion other than numeration, the macros u see are just there to change the icons look, no other functions lol.

They're are talents, i think they added it during draenor or at the end of pandaland.

hmm, esc - option - combat (probably reset it to default) if u are using combat scrolling addon, it probably override the default settings, ^ what u see is just default settings.

i don't use macros anymore, those are just regular skill with different icons, i don't combine spells anymore or auto cast something right after an ability, it just messes up the reaction time with certain fight in the old days experience. i haven't rebuild my entire ui from the old days lol. it seems tukui evolved into elve ui. except the pots, they are attach to toys so when u use em, your character drinks an alcohol lol! it also took me a while to play with sound and not use dbm again! worth it!

i am running multiple build, it depends in fight (it can also heal hectic fights like all the boss in the new dungeon and mythic raid). the only downside for heavy cast build is movement like 2nd boss in dawn of infinite which u can easily bypass with crusader strike lol, it is not really big deal as long as u preemptively move and cast; and not get hit by the death ball stack. it does some but not a lot, u can push it between 45-50 parse. probably 10-15m for this m17 dungeon. its hard to tell it depends. ^ no effort at all here, the recent dps i checked lol. it still low dps tho and probably not accurate or reliable since this week have spiteful affix. it doesn't count the blessing of summer buff too and im too lazy to world of logs it. XD imgur.com/a/3Qp6QPv make sure u have righteous judgement for this build, the consecration can proc 2-3x and u can have 2x up at all time, the proc stacks up as long as they proc. kinda op b/c it heals more than the druid's shroom if theres 2 of em up at all time.

It is 17 u can see it in there :l, it is just took up 1/2 of the screen so i just hide it from time to time. back then i used a lot of addon and no sound but when i came back in this new xpac i decided to play only with music and numeration, and rely only with in game voice and sound for warning indicator.

honestly? most of the issue i have with this footage isn't the primarily cast to heal, when i've done builds where i primarily did casted heals i still found I could contribute dps with sotr and even...*gasp* Crusader strike.

I think that defeats the purpose of.... you know.... caster build lol. Not everyone likes to play a melee healer, and as someone who has played paladin since wrath and loves the class, they were not always melee, they were forced into it and people such as myself don't enjoy that gameplay. Monk started off as a melee healer, and that is another situation, but if I wanted to dps I would dps, and if I wanted to melee, I would be a warrior or someone who was made for melee. But imo healers shouldn't be melee call me old school. And I know all the elitist posers will cry that my opinion doesn't matter, and all I have to say is go suck some rope =).

It won't unfortunately. You still need +dps for high keys to work =\ though I really hate that myself.

@@JoseMartinez-nt4xn I use to play holy paladin caster, but after BFA I gave up on it because everything pushed it to the heavy melee glimmer build. My recommendation is play what you want, but with that in mind, set your expectations appropriately. You won't be pushing the highest of keys, ect.

@@alancode2147 My man the even the Top Healers arent doing extreme amounts of DPs check logs you dont see them doing 60-90k dps.. Especially Hpal where you have to consider that your DPS is taking your globals. Elsmeere had +24 Keys timed where he did like 25k DPS.

@@briansingh4962 I didn't say extreme, I said some. Time spent casting spells instant if using instants, even if you stay close to melee is eating at that dps. 25k is still a good chunk in overall from a role that should be just keeping ppl alive.

this one is more tactical and i won't recommend it if you have low crit and haste. It still does better damage than druid, shaman and holy priest, and ur main focus is not to dps anyway but to keep everyone alive. The build uses veneration mechanic.

If the group needs the heals to do dps then those dps(^) arent good lol. Either never have healed or plays shaman in low keys and maybe preservation. Trying this build in a few min for the fun of it before Hpally rework.

Healer damage is irrelevant this season you are not gonna fail timing a key to lack of damage until like 24s or 25s, in lower keys it's always going to be a survivability issue with players missing kicks and stops. Streamer mentality has just polluted lower key environments where dps that are constantly missing kicks and stops and dieing to standing in stuff complain that the healer didn't do enough damage even though that's never the reason a key was failed. Unless of course you're doing world first keys but at that point why the fuck would you be taking advice or criticism from some guy in TH-cam comments.

ye the gameplay is more relax vs melee, and that's the point to recreate the old version lol or at least a workable version in the current state.

@@janc4176 too bad it's immediately not viable for m+ because you do no damage. in fact you're playing this very wrong for m+ as you'd still want to be in melee to use sotr, etc, even as a caster you're also standing at range for no reason just to embrace this imagined "caster" playstyle not taking advantage of your mastery at all or keeping consecration down, sad

@@Neurotik51 ive done a lot of 20s in last season and I've never have any problem with it. This build was pre draenor and all pallies plays that way back then before the crusader strike melee style was introduced at late pandaria patch. Consecration was never the priority of this build. It can pad the healing meter and does some damage but it is just neglectable

Not really. This build works fine in 20s back in s1 but i never really pushed after that b/c the ilvl reward from vault don't get any higher so i just stopped. I noticed to there were lots of deaths in melee play style and idk blizz told us they want us to be more melee but removed the 2hd way of healing + the big changed in the new upcoming patch The difference usually come downs to 2-3m damage which u can afford to lose and as long as the dps in certain mechanic is met, it is not that important, in pugging u'll probably need it.

the build itself is same as back in TBC to draenor, and so far it is fine, it is for people who don't want to use crusader strike and be at medium / long range. the potential of it working even better in next major patch is huge! judgment will regen holy power again and veneration will heal, that means we can exploit the other wings talent. both melee and caster healer build works just fine currently, as my guild run both melee paladin, and me as range caster paladin. the main focus in it is meeting the crit requirements of 30%+32% no need to go over 39%, but im a crit addict so sometimes i get 45%+ from flask lol or trinket effect. this build revolves around infusion mechanic and sunwell talents, it both increases your fol healing, lowers your shock cd, and reduces your mana cost.

@@janc4176 hi thanks so much for the feedback. I tried it out without completely abandon crusader strike. I only tested 3-4 dungeons at around 18-19 There are some upsides like you don’t have to chase the mob but healing from range also neglect sanguine pool. But overall output is lower than meta build. May have some better scenario at fortify week to give tank a more stable single target healing in dangerous trash pull after trash pull. But never the less keep at the work man I’d love to try it out 10.1.5

@@xiaoyiyuan11 your main damage comes from judgement > shock and veneration, lol, the melee does more damage. if u want to pad the meter , u can come close and put down consecration. it uses 2 beacon and for healing that it is mandatory u have the 2 talents that buff fol to 25% extra healing. the biggest weakness of this build is pretty much sanguine as we only have 1 dispell + our aoe healing is not the same as other class, it is big but 1 person is guaranteed to die if ur group gotten +6-8 stack of debuff in +16 the virtue cd is unreliable and lod only heals for 50-70k crit if it procs the double cast.

BEEAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAQAARAAAAUiASJSiSBpkkkUSgSioIIJlkEJJEpBiIAgAAFgQA this is crit build and not mastery build, and focuses on 2 infusion. 30-32% crit chance (you can get up to 39% crit chance) 1.2 to 1.1 flash of light cast speed rest of the stat is versatility while mastery is just a dead stat. in next patch if they don't change anything with the current tree, this playstyle will be even more stronger, b/c judgement will now regen holy power and veneration will heal. you can edit "Breaking dawn" and "Avenging wrath: Might" to echoing blessing or unwavering spirit or any talent of your choice for raiding.

@@BossFightt it got some haste. 20% or at least get your "Flash of Light" to 1.2 cast speed. I always locked to 1.2 cast speed but if that feels a lil slow, make it 1.1 cast speed.

Compared to other healers paladin suck big time damage wise. They are only ahead of holy priests but they have PI.
