    Hello Guys,
with Adobe After Effects 2020 the ProEXR 2.5 Plugin is integrated. So you don't have to install it by hand. Also, some functions have changed.
I talk about these changes in my new tutorial: th-cam.com/video/R_8bfke0EY0/w-d-xo.html
    All the Best,
    Helge

I know this video is quite old, but I was wondering if is an automatic way to generate all mask in separated layers for the cryptomatte.

In V-Ray when I render cryptomattes as a seperate sequence, instead of packing them together with the beauty and other render elements, this AFX plugin won't be able to find any cryptomate layers. When I ask it to retrieve the masks from the cryptomatte render element like shown here, there is an error message: No cryptomatte layers found.
Is there a workable way I can render cryptomattes as a seperate sequence in V-Ray?

Sorry to bother you Helge........but.........Somedays I'm the remedial member of the group...... (I made myself 60 frames of an openEXR file in Blender I then imported it twice, once as a comp and once as a sequence and then made a comp but when I go to Effects>3DChannel>...........Cryptomatte is not there!) .I can not seem to install the Cryptomatte plug in, (actually have no plug ins atm,) can you recommend a few pointers. So far I have downloaded the zip file......un zipped it and copied the folder in to C>Programfiles>Adobe>Adobe After Efeects 2020>Support Files> Plug Ins......nothing happens and that's all I know to do.Thanks for any help

Hi David, since After Effects 2020 it should be in AEX by default. No need to install it.
Have you seen my newer video: th-cam.com/video/R_8bfke0EY0/w-d-xo.html
      So you see a difference?
