    If you're going to have a bike judged you got the right judge! Matt is one of the best who learned from the best! Beautiful bike!

    Thank you all for the kind comments.Thank you Matt and the AMCA for judging my bike. Here are the items that were identified. 1) rubber washers between front fender and fork 2) nipple on oil return line should be cad 3) rear engine mount bolts shoud have washer under bolts heads 4) transmission adjuster strap should have nuts on top 5) kick pedal rubber nuts should have internal star washers 6) carb bracket is too wide and should have cad nuts 7) header clamps should have cad hardware 8) gease fittings should be like origional (not colony) 9) rear brake cross shaft should have a straight grease fitting 10) tool box lock surface where key goes in should be recessed by ~.1 . In addition my oil tank drain plug is too big and the nuts on my cluch and brake pedal pads should be parkerized. Everything has been (or will be) corrected to be ready for my next judging! Thanks again

    The first motorcycle that I rode and then owned was a 1950 FL (Panhead). Great bike.

    Awesome looking bike. I’d love to see in the next video what he lost point for. But I understand that will probably drum up controversy in the comment section

    Although a beautiful bike, I don't believe it left the factory with that much chrome.

    • @JohnMacIntyre-gm4ki
      @JohnMacIntyre-gm4ki 8 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      Remember you are also seeing alot of polished stainless steel and polished aluminim. You are correct in that there was not alot of chrome in the day. The muffer, tail light, accessory fender trim and light, tank badges, rims, headlight, derby cover, accessery hub cap, handle bars, and crash bars are chrome parts as it left the factory/dealer. thank you

      @@JohnMacIntyre-gm4ki and if that stainless and aluminum was polished it would fail in a real judged show. In the car world of judging, cars are judged on restorations based on how vehicles left the factory. Bolts and fasteners not parkerized you lose points. Aluminum polished so it resembles chrome again lose points.

      I assure you an AMCA judging is a real judging as the bike left the factory/dealer. We have photos of new bikes from Harley Davidson that show the level of polish and it was very nice. I dont think I over did it. These bikes sold new for the same price as a new car in the day and harley made them look as good as they could. Also 1950 was the first year Harley offered a polish option for the forks and brake that was included on my bike. Thank you..
