This week I brave the mild chill to experiment with the Camp Snap. Editing is a bit weird due to an audio issue (I switched the mic off when I adjusted it) camerafarmer
Hi Derek again a great video and your approach of "we will see what xill happen" is really a fresh air in this sad formatted world. Like you I have now 2 camp snap cameras (one for B&W, one for color) - a little Pentax eFina ultra-compact, 14 megapixel entry-level camera with a 5X, 26-130mm zoom lens (just to see) and for more "serious" work my old Panasonic Lumix DMC-GM5K (essentially for B&W) that I took back after 5 years of... nothing in fact. I have added in my bag 2 books I recommand that are in sync with the philosophy of point and shoot photography. 1st one: "Read This if You Want to Take Great Photographs" by Henry Carroll (how I could miss the P function in my camera! I just have now - thanks to this book - 3 functions in my GM5K and that's all! And I let down the 324 pages of the manual. For God sake 324 pages !!!! Life is short and I don't have timle to read this shit!) and the 2d "Failed it ! : How to turn mistakes into ideas and other advice for successfully screwing up" by Erik Kessels. Which is really the point I think here with Camp Snap experience. Two; not expensive at all, little books that were a great help in my re-discovery of photography - including your videos of course. Cheers from France.
Thanks so much for the message. I am glad you are getting something from my weird little videos, they will hopefully improve in time and I will continue to travel. I will check those books out. Cheers
Good idea.
