I've watched a documentary about that grapes, not to mention that most of these fruits are grown in Japan. The process of growing that grapes is already tedious. These particular grapes are individually monitored in the vines by the Japanese farmers. Just like what the narrator said, they are chosen by their weight and sugar contents. Even the sunlight are measured by the farmers to perfectly achieve the size and the amount of sweetness in every grape. That's why its expensive.
