Auto double tap windows would be excellent. It adds to the exerpeince. Think you've just come off the highway and you want to open the windows for some fresh air. Bam they all go down. To anyone watching it would also just look amazing in a car like that and clue them into the fact that this is no ordinary chevy.

I loved this video. When I was 6, my father took me to a Chevy dealer to show me the new car he was buying for my mother. He let me pick the colors and I selected cream over dark blue, which wasn't available. But since the dealer was our neighbor and friend, he got it special ordered and we had it from 1952 until 1960. Loved seeing the 1952 Chevy again; in any color. I just regret I was never old enough to drive it.

I agree the steering wheel and the audio have got to go otherwise, perfect build as usual. Some suggested additions (since you asked): hydro-boost brakes, supercharger, update the headliner (I don't feel the headliner flows with the rest of the interior style), wider but still nicely tucked tires.

I can't thank you enough for taking these older vehicles and making them all they can be. My wife and I wish that the manufacturers would make cars look like the older cars but with all the modern hardware. What you're doing is so precious. What is it that draws us to old iron? There's a feeling you get in an old car that you cannot get in something new. New is great, but old satisfies something inside us that I can't quite put my finger on. Of all the vehicles you've done there's not one that that I don't absolutely adore. Thank you again Jonathan and may you continue for many more years.

I would still have it today if it had not been totaled in a wreck my dad had in the mid 60's....The hood ornament went on our old 1950 Chevy pickup....when I gave the truck away to a friend, I kept the hood ornament.....may ind up on my 1976 Chevy POST yet.....

The car was parked for 30 + yrs and was a time capsule! It still had the bias tires and all I did was add air to them to get the car loaded on and off the trailer! Love these cars and what you are doing!

Hell son, it should simply have a tube AM and let the owner plug his smartphone into the speaker system. Brought back a lot of fond memories. This was one of the family cars my folks had when I was a kid in the 50's. No A/C though, but not really a downside. It made country drives a buffet of sounds, sights and smells, all that are lost to cocooned passengers of today - - - which, I guess, is why the dog and I ride around in the F150 with the windows down even in the Florida summer. Though most of your upgrades aren't to my taste you nonetheless did a fine job and I do rather envy your client's pockets. Still, I have the memories.

What about updating the seat-belts from a single lap belt to a shoulder harness (single or racing double)? I write this because I don't see a shoulder belt in the video though perhaps there is one that is not apparent. With over 5,000 emergency calls under my belt, I can assure you that when a face meets the steering wheel or the windshield it is not a pretty sight. Snapped necks are not uncommon.

Well since you spent a year on the seats, if it was my ride I would chrome up the details starting with the steering wheel. Give it a nice big boat wheel with white and chrome, make it with a super shiny leafy emblemed icon badge in the middle of it. Chrome interior bullet lights on both sides of the back seats. One day I’m going to own a car like this one. I’m jealous.

Immediately noticed the seats and overhead. If it was mine, you wouldn’t be messing with the seats anymore. Going back to the big steering wheel is a good thing. Hopefully the one you have chosen is understated. If someone made a forged aluminum wheel like the steelies you are using, you could paint them and they would be a good performance upgrade. Update the electronics, yes but leave the dongle. Update the lights, it’s good to see and be seen and cut electrical load. You do nice work, it stands the test of time, just like that ‘52.

The head liner is as big as a football field. And it wraps around to the doors quite a bit,so it is very visible in the car .Do something with that.It will be a great custom look that will only be seen when you are in the car. That way it will not take away from the original look outside. .You could make an overhead counsel ,or just some sort of pattern of mohair and burlap. Maybe not just those ,but you get my jist.

Hi Jonathan! Thank you for sharing these vehicles with us in such detail. As you know many of us car geeks would love to show up at your door step with a blank check and a dream, .
On this project I'd leave the lamps incandescent, they look authentic. LED lamps have their place, I know you're a fan. But in a world of more and more cheap cold high frequency LED light, the warm steady glow of incandescent lamps is more and more appealing to my aging eyes.
Please don't toss that ICON built steering wheel in a scrap bin, I hope it finds it's way to a new life in a more suitable project. Put it on eBay, or even Craigslist, or better, find someone deserving at a cars and coffee and give it to them. It'd be a class touch to a late '60's wood grained Impala Wagon street machine, a C-10, or maybe a Chevelle. The '54 Chevrolet steering wheel will certainly blend into the derelict '52 better.

Hello. The car looks perfect. Beautiful patina on it with no rust holes which I hate. The interior is awesome too. I would be proud driving it everyday. I really like it.

Love hearing all the details. Find it very cool that a dsp and audio are a concern of yours

Jonathan. Holy cow. Being an Air Force vet and perhaps the closest viewer to Kirkland AFB, I was already thinking how I was gonna scrap the dough together without getting divorced. Other than audio and maybe LEDs she's perfect! I was born in IL so maybe I'll see her there if not at your shop next time I'm in Cali.

Just plain gorgeous. She's a beaut! Excellently well done, as always. Can't think of any other mods than the ones you mentioned - of course, I don't have the creative gene! I've always envied you folks who do.....
