    Logan's face after Van Buren told him off was priceless. He had that smug smile on his face while he was chewing her out then got blind sided when she went on the attack now he looks like he wants to apologize haha. I loved Van Buren she had to stamp her foot to remind everyone who was in charge several times throughout the show, she even told off Jack McCoy in his office in a couple of episodes. Fearless.

      Not having to worry about getting shot by the cops when you get pulled over for having a taillight out is a privilege in the US, as disgusting as that is. Just because you don’t have to experience the difference doesn’t mean it isn’t real.

    • @OfficialMageHD
      @OfficialMageHD 3 ปีที่แล้ว +7

      @@marafranklin6205 Nobody gets shot for having their taillight out. That is the reason those people got pulled over, but it's the actions they make during their interaction with the officer that is usually what leads to them getting shot. That's not saying all those cases are only ever on how the person acts, although there's very few that are strictly on the officer being trigger happy. It's usually just one wrong move when someone is very aggravated, which for most people that sort of aggravation doesn't seem like much, so the moves they make don't seem an issue, but for officers they deal with situations where a move like that from someone that's aggravated is likely to be a weapon.
      We need to stop with this black and white view of those events. When you talk about it like it's simply getting shot for a taillight being out, you end up with people on edge during any interaction with an officer, and can create more of those situations. If we have more people calm and just getting through the traffic stop we can find the officers and situations that are actual issues, which would get much more backing from people. I also think more people need dashcams, not just for situations with officers, but just in general if you drive you should have one. It's easy proof if there's an accident who was at fault, as well as a dashcam facing into the car can be good for saying without a doubt you weren't distracted at the time which is good for dealing with insurance.

    I'd be saying, Since you had him embalmed before the medical examiner had a chance to even do a cursory examination, I consider the medical examiners statement to be invalid. I intend to speak to the district attorney concerning continuing this investigation and I will be answering any questions the media might have." I wouldn't actually answer the media's questions but sometimes the threat of such shakes something loose.

    Woman complains she doesnt want the ME to "carve up" her precious husband then proceeds to have him embalmed which includes removal of certain organs, the dehydraton of the body through tubes and pumping it full of chemicals
    Embalming is utterly useless and serves no purpose if the body is buried within reasonabke time

      Right? Here you get no say in another person's death whatsoever. If they didn't die at a hospital even there's no suspicion of any sorts a preliminary investigation is conducted by an official
      This is ridiculous

    • @lenabeans
      @lenabeans 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Kinda? It really depends on the situation. In her case, her wealth & status gave her leverage & connections in order to get her way.
      However in some cases, the spouses or family of the deceased (whoever has medical proxy) can decide if they want an autopsy performed or not. The police/investigators can try to overrule that decision with probable suspicion, but they would have to go through several judges and authorities. Most of the time, if it's not blatant foul play, whoever has medical proxy gets to decide.

    I haven't watched that season of L&O, but I didn't get a misogynist vibe from Logan at all. I've worked a lot of retail and I always hated it when I've enforced some company policy like I'm supposed to... probably like I've been reprimanded for NOT doing... Just for my manager to come behind me and contradict me. It makes you look like an idiot and makes you way less likely to enforce policy if it's just going to be countermanded. Why waste the time and emotional energy?

      @London Posh that's per season that TY and Amazon is selling and they only have some of the seasons which are between $20 - $40 depending. Then the small chance my internet becomes crap one day. Plus if any time one of the actors go for an autograph session like at a convention.

    • @sumoni

      An article I read online had a journalist dig up why L&O wasn't available. Apparently it's too expensive to distribute more widely. Netflix had all the original seasons but it cost them too much to keep it. Same with Amazon and Hulu. Since SVU is still on air they probably get a better deal but it seems the lack of leadership for the older seasons doesn't give the company that owns the license much desire to pre-release it on DVD or blu-ray. I'm just purchasing the dvds when I can afford them. It's slow and some I can't afford because they overpriced it. But that's all I can do short of pirating.
