Young people can't imagine how crazy cut scenes were in the 90's. This was crazy cutting edge stuff at the time. It was still running off a CD and playing on a 486 or early Pentium on a 14'' or 15'' monitor. Westwood was an awesome studio before EA destroyed them, as they tend to do with innovative studios they feel threatened by. At this time Westwood was ahead of Blizzard in the RTS genre. This was better then Warcraft and invented a lot of RTS stuff.

I wish Red Alert 2 would be remastered and the live-action cinematics are now in widescreen, HD and runs in 60 FPS. Combining both RA2 and YR campaigns.
I wish EA had a version of RA2/Tiberium Sun that worked without outside modification on Origin.
This and age of empire were my childhood life. I remember in 99, me and my friend would go on internet game cafe and 80% of the people there would be playing multiplayer RA2 and AoE
In the cutscene at 1:47:35 the book toppling like that made that scene hilarious.
Very nice compilation. I only noticed 2 missing scenes, ironically from the same mission, which was mission 10 Weathered Alliance, the vanilla soviet campaign. In this mission, Yuri has a cutscene informing the commander about the new naval unit, the giant squid, and also if you wait a little after the infiltration of the battle lab, Zofia will inform you that they were mistaken, the weather device is functioning and warns the player about the danger.
bit late this but there where more scenes missing, the small reactions from yuri in the final basegame soviet mission against him when you build certain units and buildings
And the losing scene with tanya too
It took 10 years for those Kirov Airships to arrive because they were to slow

I still to this day always go back to these cut scenes. I love that they decided to lean into the stereotypes some, have cute women, and love that the Generals and Scientists are caricature of them selves or real world generals. Who knows, maybe it's a really good imitation?

When I saw this after years..... I cried like a baby. And I am a grown man. Excellent game - so strong, so exceptional. There is a few not bad games today but in general, todays games are garbage. Nothing like this legend.

One of the greatest games i've ever played. The actress Aleksandra Kaniak who played Lt. Zofia was gorgeous, though i cant help but wonder if it felt weird for her as polish person playing a soldier of the soviet union considering the brutal history.
