I took apart the F40's predecessor, the 288 GTO, while I was repainting it. It was a lot easier. The F40 looks so complicated.

Hi man ! Do you have any experience with disassembling any model from " Polistil "manufacturer ? Ive just bought F40 1/18 from a guy but disassamble looks like a big isue.
Hi there, sorry never had one of these models in my possession, generally the screws are hidden in the arches if you can’t see them on the base plate 👍🏻

Hi , the best place to get the parts are on eBay just search 1:18 spares parts , or try Facebook group for model parts there are a few people that trade parts 👍🏻👍🏻

Hi I really hope u can help me.... I was lucky enough to inherit 8 Burrago Ferraris nothing as clean as what u come across..... Basically every damage that is common I've got... I'm trying to restore a F40... An so much is damaged I've managed to repair the front suspension.. But I've having trouble aligning the front bonet/bumper....if u could maybe help me out with even images so I know where to begin..... Thanks your tutorials helped me restore 2 others
Shiraz Domingo hi thanks for your comments I think there are are only two that hold the bonnet and bumper together they both rap around a cross member bar at front end of chassis, once both parts are fitted over this then screw them down from underside .

Great tutorial! I've got the HWE F40 and the passenger's side door keeps falling. I do try to clip it in but when I open it, again it falls off. Any tips on how to fix it properly? Thanks! - Vince

Hi thanks for your comments, with regards to your Hotwheels elite I wish I had one of though , it’s possible that the screw behind the door card that mine need tightening up which may be very difficult to get to without taking the model apart not 100% certain I don’t have the hot wheels in front of me to give you 100% correct advice I will have to check but generally he is normally a screw holding the door card in place 👍🏻👍🏻🚗🚗
@@CSdiecasttuning Thank you for your reply. HWE doors to the F40 do not have any screws, that's the problem. They have a metal plate fixed to the door that clicks in a few notches to the model. I believe one of the plates have bent a bit thus making it lose, not sure though.
