Neverending Story was my favorite movie when I was a kid and Falkor remains to this day one of my favorite characters ever. So imagine how excited I was to meet him last year at Tampa Bay Comic Con.
That’s awesome 😀 I haven’t seen The Neverending Story in decades. think I’m going to watch it tomorrow. It’s supposed to rain, it’ll be atmospheric. This has me amped!
I think mr. Oppenheimer is one of the few big 80s voice actors that's still gets work semi regularly, heck he's even slated to voice Moss Man in the new Netflix He-Man show coming out next year.
As a kid sometimes voices have a familiar ring, but you can't quite put your finger on it. It's cool how in some of the other voices Skeletor or Man-At-Arms peaks out every so often and with others are absolutely unique. A true talent
@Mister80Retro I saw the second one, "Second Wedding Workout" during its original prime time network broadcast. It was followed by a Hagar the Horrible special.

NintendoGuy64 That's the Filmation Mighty Mouse cartoon from the late 1970's. In the original Mighty Mouse cartoons from the 1940's and the 1950's, I think Mighty Mouse was voiced by Tom Morrison, who was the head of the story department at Terrytoons. (And the Papa in the Terry Bears series was voiced by the janitor at Terrytoons. Shows you what a low budget (for theatrical cartoons) cartoon studio Terrytoons was.)
@@omanimoves6312 Lou Scheimer also voiced Dumb Donald in Fat Albert and the Cosby Kids, and Droopy in The Tom and Jerry Comedy Show. (And probably other characters as well.)

There was an episode of The Smurfs where they had to team up with Gargamel in order to get a book back from a troll. The troll sounded like Skeletor after he had sucked helium. Did Alan Oppenheimer do the voice of the troll in that episode. Smurfs episode: The Fountain of Smurf.
First saw Mr. Oppenheimer on The Six Million Dollar Man as Rudy Wells. Always liked him after that. I was blown away to see just how all over the entertainment (and sci-fi/fantasy) industry he was. Hated when he died.

How did he keep all those voices separate?? That's some true talent!!
He will always be rememberd as the voice of skeletor. Perhaps one of the most iconic villains from the 80s

Ahhh, back when "every voice actor on the planet" referred to exactly seven people.
?
Major voice actors, Mel, Daws, Don Messick, Casey , June, Paul Frees, Alan, and a few More. They were all Mentors to the many actors out today.
