A totally risk free car, both as a quality products and driver's oriented car with great handling and steering feel.

Update! 8 months on and well over 12K miles my very cheap 1.9jtdm TI still pulls like a train (so torquey) and achieves an easy 53mpg. Problems in 8 months? A pair of rear drop links for £30 fitted in 30 mins = Happy Bunny!!

      What about 159 / 1.9 / benzin / 160ps ? Model 2006 and called progression
Is that a good version of alfa Romeo 159 ?

Why would you want German garbage when you can have a beautiful 159 or any alfa.

This in black or red with 18/19 inch multi spoke or alfa wheels with peanut butter leather is in my top 5 of saloon designs ever. Alfa 159, Jaguar XJ 350, 2004 Maserati Quatroporte, 1999 Bentley Arnage and lastly the 2012 Bentley Mulsanne.

2.4 jtdm 5cylinders diesel engine with 210hp is the best.

Um not sure about that the TBI 1750 is regarded as the best engine put in a 159 .

    • @kamata93
      @kamata93 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

1.9 is more reliable. But the 2.4 has better sound, its a 5 pot after all.

2.0 diesel with remap has better torque and power, also it has much better gearbox

    •  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

Are you sure? My 2.4 is remapped to 265BHP and 520Nm I can't imagine the 2.0 JTDM is capable of that...@@tedarcher9120

Are the timing chains reliable on these as I heard they can stretch over time and need to be replaced

I have a 2.0 petrol jts blackline GT styled with Bertone and love it is original apart from a stainless steel exhaust and a kenwood screen with reverse camera and dvd and Thatcham alarm system in great condition and I left it for a month and it started first time.great wee car and looks great. I'm currently looking into a auction for a charity as I'm going to have knee surgery in the future and I'm going for a automatic and I can't believe that I'm saying that a beautiful great to drive and been treated meticulous like the headrests being embroidered on leather interior and great condition but that's not a great problem to fix.I'm doing it gradually and I'm going to try and have it all done perfect a bit at a time maybe 2 months but then it will be concourse condition so I'm not sure exactly but I'll be able to say it will be one of the nicest ones in Scotland anyway and then a automatic!!!so I'll be needing advice on that!!!getting old it's a beautiful car.

159 TBI 1.75 cc is my prefered 159 model.

    •  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      I currently have both; an 2.4JTDm Q4 MJ09 and a 1750 TBI MJ11. I must say i prefer the 2.4 although it have 500k km's on it.

Are you for real? There are only a handful of these available ever, meaning ludicrously overpriced massive mileage dross ready for the scrap yard. The 1.9d had a weak dodgy gearbox and was underpowered for its size, the 2.2 petrol and Tbi are atrocious on fuel and heavy on maintenance and the rather good 2.0 or 2.4 diesel with such few sensible mileage examples remaining are stupid money. All were plagued with horrendous cheap Chinese sourced front subframe corrosion problems costing a fortune if it needs replacing. Sure if all this was factored into its price like years past then the looks and better than previous build quality could swing it but with the small number of overpriced cars playing on Alfisti heartstrings ever to choose from no thanks. Simply not value for money in any way.

Heavy yes, but only the back subframe can rust (i treated the part) otherwise no issues after 14 years and 330k km. Alternator needed replacement, otherwise only standard maintenance. Very satisfied
