I think you really undersell the value of Desperate Prayer with the extra life and decreased cooldown. Having a 40% defensive button on a 1:10 min cooldown has saved me countless times in keys, especially on tyrannical weeks on higher keys when boss's can be in one-shot ranges.
In my experience nothing would have killed me through 20% Desperate Prayer where that extra 20% would have changed anything, but obviously this is circumstantial so if you like those talents go for it, just my opinion :) Last season I basically never ran those talents and pushed all the way to title.
I'm so lost in SP right now. I have watched all your videos, read all the guides, from multiple sources, I know the rotations and priorities, I have checked and compared logs in terms of builds and talents, and while I just got new raid gear so not that many enchants or sockets, I still do less than half of other SP's in groups. Currently 502, and bottom of DPS on the meters (abberus heroic) while the other SP was crushing the top. The only difference I have in talents are things for movement/defensive, personal preference stuff, nothing that relates to rotations or damage, or takes points away from those talents.
If your rotation is good and your dps sucks it's probably you need to cast more spell You need to allways cast somethings as a caster. And don't miss to use your instant skill / proc when you have to dodge something rather than just move and wait to stop moving for casting an other spell :D
I would personally try and log your boss kills using WarcraftLogs and then use the comparison feature to compare yourself to other shadow priests. I wrote a guide on how to do that here: gist.github.com/seanpeters86/0079136f148c49aae7bcb807c72ccb9d
@@yohanvist in general I try to stretch the time before moving as much as I can, if I'm casting. If I have to love, that's where I use instants (if I have them) I just wonder if secondary stats are so impactful, since it's the only major thing I can imagine is the difference. I know the rotation, of course that does not mean I have perfected it.

@@Zepulchure A tip is also to plan ahead a couple of seconds and premove so you can stand still and cast for a couple of seconds :) And like you say use instants if possible. For instance you can hold DP as long as possible without losing uptime, and then reapplying it when you have to move. Keep practicing and watching streams and you will get it eventually!
I was playing my shadow priest the other day and saw like 5 of me spells light up and was like wtf is this shit, they need to chiil with spell interactions. Im vibing with the simpler specs these days.
That could be a fun capstone bit of the talent. Would be curious how useful it would be for shadow though. Some kind of insanity generator or something?
Wouldn't it be worth it more to remove points from essence devourer or Fade cdr instead of mindgames? Those points aren't super impactful, I find. And even just 1 point into Fade cdr already lets me have fade ready for every Entagling
Doesn’t Void Shield only refill PW:Shield if it’s dropped from max but not run out? Does anyone take that little damage from anything unless you’re doing like heroics?
I'm at a point at my shadow playstyle where i just take whatever I like to have/press. Mindgames for example I dont enjoy to have in my rotation and therefore like to skip completley. Not running anything for leaderboards or pushing hard on. Enjoing more having more utility.
You want to do something to help the Shadow Priest community? Advocate for them to bring back Legion Shadow Priest and don't stop until they do. That is how you can contribute to the class community.

Wish Holy Nova had a choice node for Unholy Nova which doesn’t heal, deals more shadow dmg and generates insanity.
The choice node under holy nova could give the “generates resource (insanity or mana) but has cooldown” or does extra dmg etc

Totally reasonable to move those points around if you prefer, a lot of this becomes preference choices.

That's correct, but you use it often enough for movement that it adds up over time. Its all relative to other points but its honestly pretty decent.
