Hey Tom, Moritz here from Heimplanet. Thanks for the honest review. Really appreciate your work. 🙏 If you are interested in sustainable fabrics you will be blown away by the process behind dope dying. It's not just a more sustainable dying process it's actually not dyed at all! The colorant is added before the yarn is extruded - so the yarn is made completely in a specific color right from the start. That means there is basically no color fading through abrasion, UV radiation or washing. Plus, you save loads of resources since dying is the most polluting process in fabric production. Cheers, Moritz
@@PackHacker I would love to see a video on maybe multiple bags/multiple slings compared side by side, maybe in a bracket style competition, with a winner in each category chosen
Thank you for your in-depth reviews. They are awesome! Would love for you to do more Sling Reviews. Also interested in Sling/waist pack reviews. Can’t always carry something on my shoulder due to an injury. This size seems really great for hiking, traveling and even around town. Thanks again!

Got one, and it is a lot darker now (than I hoped for). I can only just squeeze my sun glasses in the front pocket, a fiddly two hand operation. I love the rest so it is a keeper.
Would definitely like to see some other 1L or similar size sling reviews. Not something I'd use daily but you've totally sold me on the idea of using it while traveling. Seems like it'd be the perfect companion to my new GoRuck GR2 40L which is an amazing travel backpack but does lack some of the quickly accessible organization the Transit Line Sling could provide when worn on the chest.
Hey Jesters Cap - definitely a great use case for a smaller sling. We just pushed out a large guide on slings you may find useful: packhacker.com/guide/best-sling-bag/ and we've got more sling reviews in the works! - Tom
I’ve found that the straps kind of bunch up over time at the attachment ring points. Other than that it’s very well made and I really like the inner pouch and zip pocket configuration.
Thanks for the help. Maybe they will use a buckle for fannys in the next version. I'd be ok if they did and if they went with a subtle ID tag over the big sticker, too.
please continue to review slings. i've started using a sling for everyday use and easily put it in my messenger bag for days I need to take my laptop to work.
So I have a bit of a confession to make. I know I originally poo pooped this pouch due to it’s hipster price point (though I did actually like the product) and said that I would rather buy a lovely steak. Well as much as I like steak, I watched this video a couple more times, looked at my old pouch and decided I must have the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket for myself and have it now. The manufacturers site states that this item will not be in-stock until nearly July (that’s not great management btw), so off to Google I went. I was directed to a shop in Finland, I emailed them immediately to confirm they had stock, they replied instantly stating that they had one piece remaining (the site now marks as out of stock) and less than 48 hours and several cargo flights later I have it in my hands. You are right, it’s great! However, I do feel the same about the logo.

I owned a “keep pursuing” sling pack which is very similar to this. Great pack for mobile everyday use too and extremely comfortable and balanced. However Some of the pockets in the kp seemed redundant and I never used all of the compartments for example the small padded tech compartment (too small for a normal tablet, ended up keeping my phone in front pocket for faster access. The heimplanet seems a little more straightforward (taking a less is more approach) thanks for the review!

Hi, Great review! I was just wondering, could this sling fit a Kindle or a smaller book comfortably? I usually take one on my trips and days in the city, would be great to know. Cheeers!
Hey Soma! We're glad you're digging the review. We tested this out with our Kindle in the studio and it does fit in the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket. However, the book would have to be pretty small and thin to fit in. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
Hi Rebecca, Thanks for the answer! I gathered also based on the dimensions.. Thanks for the testing and confirmation. I have ordered mine since. :) Have a nice day! Soma
As a larger gentleman I find slings don’t really suit me. The tend to accentuate the stomach area. :) I prefer a god satchel. But I would still watch more sling reviews. I find them to be an interesting category of bag. especially if you’re trying to minimise your carry or get things out of your pockets.
Satchel/shoulder bag/vertical carry messenger bag/musette or whatever you want to call it - it was a "Former Action Guy" bag in my old perilous profession - seems a lot more versatile, and comfortable. That is what I have used for decades, looong before the urban "murse" became popular in America. Can't really put much more in these "slings" (which are of course just fanny packs carried hipster-style) than one can carry in pockets. Unless I guess one wears those tight-legged hipster skinny jeans with pockets just for looks. But what experienced traveler would do that? I wear my phone in a neck pouch, under or over my shirt as appropriate to the situation. It is always instantly available and less likely to be stolen. My wallet goes in pants pockets, either front or rear depending on the theft threat. Keys in the front pocket. A 9x12x3" satchel can carry much more than a "sling", including a compact rain jacket or sweater ("layer"), maps (yeah they still make those), paperwork, buff or bandana, book, hand sanitizer, water, food, clipboard, electronic tablet, flashlight, hat, multitool, napkins, sunscreen, shopping bag etc. Of course one does not HAVE to fill it up...use packing discipline or suffer the consequences. And it's just about as handy as a "sling". Hangs unobtrusively by the side rather than sticking out of the torso like a malignant growth. It's easier to swing to the front or rear as needed than a "sling" too. Granted, in a full-out sprint a "sling" may be more stable, that is an advantage. But the satchel is just far more useful and if properly sized and packed actually rides closer to the body than an overstuffed "sling" IMO.
Hi, very nice review, thank you!! I'm interested in buying this, but I'm concerned about the strap not having a buckle to open it. Am I supposed to loosen the "belt" every time I dress/undress the sling? Thank you!!
Hi Marco! Once you adjust the belt to your preferred length, you can just swing it over your head to take it on and off. Thanks for the comment! - Austin
I own the new 20L peak everyday Zip. I want sling to fit inside when I need to leave the bag and go smaller. I am torn b/t this sling and the aer day sling 2 mainly because the aer sling is 2 inches longer. The peak internal/horizontal dimension offers about 9-10 in. Would the aer day sling 2 fit on one of the origami shelves comfortably(?), or should I go for the heimplant sling? Thanks for your great content!
Hey Jarrad - we've just tested this out and the Aer Day Sling 2 will fit onto the divider of the Peak Design Everyday Zip 20L, but it will need the full width of the bag. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
Great review, was wondering if it was comfortable wearing when you had your travel backpack on, from a recent video you did on travel gear? May wait for the next version of the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling to be released, hope to see more sling reviews, thanks!!!
It's pretty comfortable when worn in conjunction with a larger one bag travel backpack - especially since it's a relatively small sling. More sling reviews on the way! - Rebecca
Hey Carlos, we used them when we reviewed the Monolith Weekender 40L - packhacker.com/travel-gear/heimplanet/monolith-weekender-40l/ - but we haven't done a full review on the pouches specifically. The build quality is brilliant and they're super durable. - Nathan
Hey Keren, it's going to be a tight fit as the switch is 9.4" long without a case on, and the sling is 10". This is one of the smaller slings on market though, so keep an eye out for future sling reviews - could be an awesome way to carry a switch! - Nathan
It would look so dope in black with yellow interior. . About The logo branding.. It will look sleek and nicer if they just put the logo alone without the "heimplanet" word. PS: waiting for minaal crossbody review.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Ben - we love hearing what you think about these products! We're currently working on testing more slings, so stay tuned! 🙌😊 - Rebecca
Hey Nathan, this sling could be worn as a fanny pack if the attachments points were adjusted, but currently, this is designed to sit across your chest or back. We have tried this around the waist, and while it is possible, it's not convenient or as comfortable. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
@@PackHacker That's awesome. I've been looking at the Nutsac Man-Bag, Dammit. The only thing I worry about with all of these is vulnerability to theft. But I think that being able to put an s-biner through the zip-pull and attaching it to either another zip-pull or a loop on the bag would somewhat mitigate that risk.
Hey vykr - we don't actually have an iPad mini to verify this 100%, but from comparing the dimensions it seems like an iPad mini would just fit into the sling, but it's going to be a pretty tight squeeze. Hope this helps! 👍 - Rebecca
Hey Daniel - we don't have an iPad mini to verify this 100%, but from comparing the dimensions it seems like an iPad mini would just fit into the sling, but it's going to be a pretty tight squeeze. Hope this helps! - Rebecca
Great question Oli - we've just tested this and it seems like the standard Kindle (depending on the model) will fit into the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling. Hope this helps! 😊👍 - Rebecca
So I know it's might not fit in the "travel pack" category but i would love to see a review on the 5.11 amp series, especially the 24 and 72 pack. I'm looking to get one for traveling and am curious about your opinion on them. Also, I can't find great reviews on them.
Thanks for reaching out bartsons! We're interested in checking them out, but there are currently no reviews for these products in the current pipeline. 😊👍 - Rebecca
Could you fit a Kindle Oasis in the zipper bag? And which would you recommend the most for trips, I would carry the kindle, a power bank, galaxy buds, some cables, a small bottle like the MIRA 12oz (or would you recommend another one) and a small notebook, this one or the Peak Design 3L Sling? My main concern is the kindle oasis because I know it won’t fit in most small slings, thank you,
Hey JDG97 - we currently don't have the Kindle Oasis to verify the fit 100%, but from comparing the dimensions it looks like the Kindle Oasis should just fit inside the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket. 👍 - Rebecca
Pack Hacker Hello Rebecca, thank you for your answer, and about the two slings, the Peak Design 3L and the Heimplanet, which one do you recommend the most for the things I’ll probably store?
Hi Bernadino! All the buying options we know of are listed on our review and we'll keep the page updated if other options become available: packhacker.com/travel-gear/heimplanet/transit-line-sling-pocket/
Moar slings! After using the Patagonia Atom Sling though, I can't even look at slings that don't have two modes of carry. Slinging it should be another way to access the stuff, not just getting it out of the way from front to back.
Hey Iván - we don't have this camera to 100% verify, but it seems like it would fit in this sling with the other items as well. Hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
Quick question. I love my peak design everyday sling 5L. But I am trying to find a small sling. Aside from this one is there any others you could recommend? Ps. Love you guys' videos!
Hey rnnrmsc - glad you're digging the videos! We recommend checking out the Aer Day Sling 2 packhacker.com/travel-gear/aer/day-sling-2/ and the Patagonia Lightweight Travel Mini Hip Pack packhacker.com/travel-gear/patagonia/lightweight-travel-mini-hip-pack/ - we're also working on testing out more slings, so stay tuned! 😊 - Rebecca
Does this work well along with a bigger backpack? (if you front carry it) I know that was a disadvantage of the Aer city sling because of the big buckle.
Hey Jon! We found that this sling worked well alongside the Aer Travel Pack 2 when we were testing it out for our Digital Nomad Packing List. You can see both in action in our Packing List video here: th-cam.com/video/mGvHt4blPDc/w-d-xo.html - Rebecca
Hi I am looking for a backpack for the back of the wheelchair when going through the airport to carry not only my carry on medical stuff but also my service dog in training things. If any commenters have any ideas that would be helpful thankyou.
Hey Emily - while we don't have any first-hand experience with this, hopefully, there's a member of our community here that can help you out. Is there something specific the pack needs to attach to the wheelchair? Let us know as we'd love to be able to help you out further! 😊👍 - Rebecca

Probably a dumb question, but I fly Frontier a lot and use my 20-30 L Nomatic travel pack as my "personal item". I want to add a small sling, but would this count against my 1 personal item, making me have to pay for my Nomatic as a carry-on?
Hey! From our experience, all airlines have different rules and guidelines when it comes to carry-on allowance. We recommend checking with Frontier Airlines directly for more info. 👍 - Rebecca
Hey Mrrbagga - we've just tested this and the Hydro Flask packhacker.com/travel-gear/hydro-flask/18-oz-wide-mouth-bottle/ just fits inside. But it's a pretty tight squeeze, and it doesn't leave much room for anything else. Hope this helps! 👍😊 - Rebecca
Im looking for a Minalmist travel sling to carry a standard 500ml water bottle 2x phones, 2 x wallets, hand sanitizer, chewing gum, lip balm, beard balm, couple make up stuff, 2 x sun glasses and sun cream. After writing it all down seems alot more than i thought hahaa but im looking for it to be as small as possible but fit all them things... if possible. Would there be anything you can recommend please!
Hey Mrrbagga - we recommend checking out the Peak Design Everyday Sling 5L packhacker.com/travel-gear/peak-design/everyday-sling-5l/ as this has a bigger capacity. But, it's important to note that a daypack may be a better alternative, especially if you're thinking of adding more items in, as this may be better for weight distribution, making it easier and more comfortable to carry for longer periods of time. Of course, this depends on your use case and travel style too. You can also take a look at the daypacks we've reviewed here packhacker.com/travel-gear/category/day-packs/ - let us know what you decide! 😊👍 - Rebecca
Hey! We've just tested this out and the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket can fit the YETI Rambler 12oz Bottle with HotShot Cap packhacker.com/travel-gear/yeti/rambler-12-oz-bottle-with-hotshot-cap/ but it takes up the whole compartment. Hope this helps! 👍 - Rebecca
Hey Ricky - we currently do not have this size iPad to verify 100%, but from comparing the dimensions of both it looks like this iPad is too big to fit into the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket. You can also find all of the technical details including the size specifications at the top of the full written review here packhacker.com/travel-gear/heimplanet/transit-line-sling-pocket/ - hope this helps! 😊 - Rebecca
Hey nirewzeigger - we tested this out and while the Switch does just about fit in the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling, it's a pretty tight squeeze and getting the zippers around the corners isn't easy, but it does fit. On the other hand, if you remove the controllers from either side, it fits in much more comfortably. 😊 - Rebecca
@@PackHacker ish? I might for travel but certainly not for just wearing around town. My buddies would absolutely frag me, lol. This might work in a big city but not where I live in the Midwest. I will admit I do own and use a fanny pack, but it's very low profile. You can't see it on me. And I only use it for my phone while rucking and hiking. Works perfectly for me.
one biggest downside - you can not unbuckle the strap. you can just tighten it or loosen. but say you're in airport line and need to quickly take it off your waist - nuh, can not do it- you have to drop everything and use BOTH HANDS to loosen the strap and take it off... kinda bummer
I like this sling, but not with that logo on the front. I always believe, if I pay for it, get rid of logo as I am paid to advertise it. And this one looks really cheap.
Huge strap, tiny package. Not for me, hopefully good for someone. (No room for iPad, water bottle, a packable puffy vest, the sort of thing you might want for a flight),.
Hi, yeah true and different strokes. Haven't found the perfect thing necessarily for the new Cotopaxi Allpa. But trying out the Patagonia lightweight travel tote. Can be worn as backpack or shoulder bag. Has water bottle pockets. May work for next trip with many day hikes. Going to try on some day hikes, excursions and check out. Would love to see a review.
What's up with this overpriced hipster nonsense? Walmart sells something similar for 25 bucks as well as Amazon. I can go down town here in Dubai (man-purses are insanely popular here for some reason) and buy a "like" pouch for less than the equivalent of 10-15 USD all day long, same goes for SE Asia. Sure it might only last half as long but these hipster-startups in the US and EU have too much overhead and try to go hardcore on quality, resulting in the price point being at something of a "high-fashion" item. "Here is an organic single pocket wallet for $98.00, comes with free fedora." Ridiculous.
@@PackHacker Only the latest in 2019 spring fashion, oh yes, a lovely Ozark Trail (Wal-Mart) hiking fanny pack. Paid about $17.00 bucks or so around 1.5-2 years ago. I'm not cool enough to wear it as an EDC item (maybe when I get a bit older) however I do wear it at work (flying helicopters, as it comes in super handy) and sometimes as a seat hanger when utilizing commercial air travel. I have several pouches, some from work, some from little cheapo shops around the globe. Don't get me wrong, I like the pouch featured in this video. I just don't need it, not at that price at least. I'd rather spend 50 USD on a steak and just rock ma fresh Wal-Mart special. (Btw, I even liked the video yesterday.)
Hey Venom5809 - definitely not for everyone, though a 66% approval rating on IG is pretty good. Glad you've found the Peak Design 10L that works for you. All the best, - Rebecca
@@PackHacker There's nothing wrong with the bags themselves, they are fanny packs, strapping it across your chest or back doesn't make it any less a fanny pack, other than making it less comfortable and more ridiculous looking. I was out a few months ago and this kid was wearing one of these things across his chest and I walked by and told him "nice fanny pack", and he turned red in the face, it was priceless. People feel like they need to project this aura of masculinity, so they can't use these bags as intended, as fanny packs, so they have to invent different ways to carry them which is honestly sad. On a side note, even though I love my Peak Sling, I just got a Peak 20L backpack a few days ago, the tradeoff in space wasn't worth it and the 20L is still small and nice, I can actually buy something when I am out and put it in the back, plus strap my jacket to it also if I get hot.

Hey Jarrad - we've just tested this out and the Aer Day Sling 2 will fit onto the divider of the Peak Design Everyday Zip 20L, but it will need the full width of the bag. Hope this helps! 😊
- Rebecca
Wow, thanks for testing this out! Such a silly request, and glad you guys tried it out. Thanks again!
Review the Aer Day Sling 2!
Hey Johnny D. Calderón - the Aer Day Sling 2 is high on our list, so keep an eye out! 👍
- Rebecca
Great review, was wondering if it was comfortable wearing when you had your travel backpack on, from a recent video you did on travel gear? May wait for the next version of the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling to be released, hope to see more sling reviews, thanks!!!
It's pretty comfortable when worn in conjunction with a larger one bag travel backpack - especially since it's a relatively small sling. More sling reviews on the way!
- Rebecca
can you fit an iPad Mini?
You should review their organization pouches
Hey Carlos, we used them when we reviewed the Monolith Weekender 40L - packhacker.com/travel-gear/heimplanet/monolith-weekender-40l/ - but we haven't done a full review on the pouches specifically. The build quality is brilliant and they're super durable.
- Nathan
Would the switch fit in there?
Hey Keren, it's going to be a tight fit as the switch is 9.4" long without a case on, and the sling is 10". This is one of the smaller slings on market though, so keep an eye out for future sling reviews - could be an awesome way to carry a switch!
- Nathan
Use the Aer day sling 2 believe me it’s a beast
Great idea Kaepler - the Switch should fit quite nicely inside. We're testing that one out soon!
- Nathan
Hey does this ship to the US ?
More sling reviews! Great videos....D
We're working on it Darrell - stay tuned! Thanks for watching! 👍😊
- Rebecca
It would look so dope in black with yellow interior.
.
About The logo branding.. It will look sleek and nicer if they just put the logo alone without the "heimplanet" word.
PS: waiting for minaal crossbody review.
Thanks for sharing your thoughts with us Ben - we love hearing what you think about these products! We're currently working on testing more slings, so stay tuned! 🙌😊
- Rebecca
Don't you think that this pack could make a great hip or fanny pack if they put a buckle on to adjust quickly?
Hey Nathan, this sling could be worn as a fanny pack if the attachments points were adjusted, but currently, this is designed to sit across your chest or back. We have tried this around the waist, and while it is possible, it's not convenient or as comfortable. Hope this helps! 😊
- Rebecca
If you can find a good waxed canvas sling, I'd be very interested in hearing about it. Even better if there is one made from hemp.
Hey David - we're currently working on reviewing more slings, so stay tuned! 😊👍
- Rebecca
@@PackHacker That's awesome. I've been looking at the Nutsac Man-Bag, Dammit. The only thing I worry about with all of these is vulnerability to theft. But I think that being able to put an s-biner through the zip-pull and attaching it to either another zip-pull or a loop on the bag would somewhat mitigate that risk.
Hey David - great idea! Especially if it gives you more peace of mind too. Let us know how you get on with this. 😊
- Rebecca
Could you jam an ipad mini in that sling if you really had to?
Hey vykr - we don't actually have an iPad mini to verify this 100%, but from comparing the dimensions it seems like an iPad mini would just fit into the sling, but it's going to be a pretty tight squeeze. Hope this helps! 👍
- Rebecca
Will the the ipad mini will fit ??
Hey Daniel - we don't have an iPad mini to verify this 100%, but from comparing the dimensions it seems like an iPad mini would just fit into the sling, but it's going to be a pretty tight squeeze. Hope this helps!
- Rebecca
Would this fit a standard kindle?
Great question Oli - we've just tested this and it seems like the standard Kindle (depending on the model) will fit into the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling. Hope this helps! 😊👍
- Rebecca
So I know it's might not fit in the "travel pack" category but i would love to see a review on the 5.11 amp series, especially the 24 and 72 pack. I'm looking to get one for traveling and am curious about your opinion on them. Also, I can't find great reviews on them.
Thanks for reaching out bartsons! We're interested in checking them out, but there are currently no reviews for these products in the current pipeline. 😊👍
- Rebecca
What kind of buckle?
- Rebecca
Pack Hacker Hello Rebecca, thank you for your answer, and about the two slings, the Peak Design 3L and the Heimplanet, which one do you recommend the most for the things I’ll probably store?
Imma use aer day sling 2
The Aer Day Sling 2 is on our list, excited to start testing that one out!
- Rebecca
im using this one as well! love it!
Awesome!! Thanks for sharing Zayyad 😊👍
- Rebecca
Did you actually hang this by the zipper for in-flight use?
Hey Randy - in this case, we did, but you can also attach it using the lash straps on the front of the sling. Hope this helps! 😊
- Rebecca
Is this available in amazon canada?
Hi Bernadino! All the buying options we know of are listed on our review and we'll keep the page updated if other options become available: packhacker.com/travel-gear/heimplanet/transit-line-sling-pocket/
Nice review guys, though I still prefer the look of my Trakke Bumbag even if the Heimplanet’s one seems to have a lot more organization
Thanks for sharing your thoughts David! Glad you've found a product that works well for you and your use case 👍
- Rebecca
Moar slings! After using the Patagonia Atom Sling though, I can't even look at slings that don't have two modes of carry. Slinging it should be another way to access the stuff, not just getting it out of the way from front to back.
Thanks for sharing Paul, we love hearing what works for you too. We're currently testing some more slings, so stay tuned! 😊🙌
- Rebecca
Does anyone knows if a compact camera like sony hx90 would fit inside this sling bag with all the items shown on the video inside too? thanks
Hey Iván - we don't have this camera to 100% verify, but it seems like it would fit in this sling with the other items as well. Hope this helps! 😊
- Rebecca
@@PackHacker sure it helps :) thank you very much. Now, I just have to wait for haimplanet to re-stock the item on the web
😊👍👍
- Rebecca
- Rebecca
Does this work well along with a bigger backpack? (if you front carry it) I know that was a disadvantage of the Aer city sling because of the big buckle.
Hey Jon! We found that this sling worked well alongside the Aer Travel Pack 2 when we were testing it out for our Digital Nomad Packing List. You can see both in action in our Packing List video here: th-cam.com/video/mGvHt4blPDc/w-d-xo.html

@@PackHacker thank you!
- Rebecca
Hye can u suggest a smart sling bag for my Nintendo switch
Hey afiq azman - we recommend taking a look at the Aer Day Sling 2, check out our Quick Look here packhacker.com/travel-gear/aer/day-sling-2/ 👍
- Rebecca
Probably a dumb question, but I fly Frontier a lot and use my 20-30 L Nomatic travel pack as my "personal item". I want to add a small sling, but would this count against my 1 personal item, making me have to pay for my Nomatic as a carry-on?
Hey! From our experience, all airlines have different rules and guidelines when it comes to carry-on allowance. We recommend checking with Frontier Airlines directly for more info. 👍
- Rebecca
I'd like to see more sling reviews :D
We're working on it Ana - stay tuned!! 😊👍
- Rebecca
Will it fit a water bottle?
Hey Mrrbagga - we've just tested this and the Hydro Flask packhacker.com/travel-gear/hydro-flask/18-oz-wide-mouth-bottle/ just fits inside. But it's a pretty tight squeeze, and it doesn't leave much room for anything else. Hope this helps! 👍😊
- Rebecca

More Sling Reviews!!!!
Hey Alan - we're working on it, stay tuned!! 👍
- Rebecca
Would this fit a small water bottle? I often carry a water bottle in my backpack for day travel but am finding it overkill
- Rebecca
Yes more slings
Very interesting addition. Makes my osprey farpoint with not a lot of pocket attractive again for traveling.
Hey Takahashi R - it sure is a super handy addition, especially for one bag travel. Thanks for watching! 👍
- Rebecca
Nice looking pack. Not sure about that wallet though.
It's definitely not for everyone but we're enjoying its minimal design - any wallet recommendations?
- Rebecca
I like the bellroy wallets. I have the card case and sleeve, plus another low profile wallet. Good stuff.
Awesome! Thanks for sharing R Ww 😊👍
- Rebecca
@@PackHacker I use a Valextra wallet, it's super thin and very well made. Not cheap though.
More sling reviews, please!
But much cheaper options would be appreciated.
We're working on it jordanr1504 - stay tuned! 👍
- Rebecca
Check out the north face mantis sling!
Thanks for sharing Ben! 👍
- Rebecca
Can fit an ipad 9.7 inside?
Hey Ricky - we currently do not have this size iPad to verify 100%, but from comparing the dimensions of both it looks like this iPad is too big to fit into the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling Pocket. You can also find all of the technical details including the size specifications at the top of the full written review here packhacker.com/travel-gear/heimplanet/transit-line-sling-pocket/ - hope this helps! 😊
- Rebecca
I see sling, I thumbs up 👍
👍👍👍
- Rebecca
Will this fit a Nintendo Switch?
Hey nirewzeigger - we tested this out and while the Switch does just about fit in the Heimplanet Transit Line Sling, it's a pretty tight squeeze and getting the zippers around the corners isn't easy, but it does fit. On the other hand, if you remove the controllers from either side, it fits in much more comfortably. 😊
- Rebecca
Will a Nintendo switch fit in this bag?
It will barely fit-but there isn’t much extra room or padding, s we wouldn’t recommend it.
-Eric
@@PackHacker thanks for the reply. I still really like the look and the designated sunglasses pocket. I went ahead and ordered one! 😁
Let us know how you like it! 😃
-Eric
yes more slings.
We're working on it M Young - stay tuned! 👍

PD Everyday Sling 5l 💪
Is this your go-to sling GoGoFlow88??
- Rebecca
@@PackHacker yeah, has a perfect small size for also stuffing your camera, bevarage,... + It has some nifty dividers ^^
That's great to hear GoGoFlow88 - glad you've been able to find a sling that works so well for you. Thanks for sharing!! 👍
- Rebecca
The biggest con is, you're wearing a sling, lol. If you can pull it off more power to you. Looks pretty functional.
We take it you're not going to be rocking this look anytime soon then... 😄 Have you ever tried one out, or is it simply a no-go?
- Rebecca
@@PackHacker ish? I might for travel but certainly not for just wearing around town. My buddies would absolutely frag me, lol. This might work in a big city but not where I live in the Midwest. I will admit I do own and use a fanny pack, but it's very low profile. You can't see it on me. And I only use it for my phone while rucking and hiking. Works perfectly for me.
Haha, we hear ya Chris! We tend to prefer lower profile slings and fanny packs too, just for carrying the essentials.
- Rebecca
one biggest downside - you can not unbuckle the strap. you can just tighten it or loosen. but say you're in airport line and need to quickly take it off your waist - nuh, can not do it- you have to drop everything and use BOTH HANDS to loosen the strap and take it off... kinda bummer
I like this sling, but not with that logo on the front. I always believe, if I pay for it, get rid of logo as I am paid to advertise it. And this one looks really cheap.
I think it's 2L.
Huge strap, tiny package. Not for me, hopefully good for someone. (No room for iPad, water bottle, a packable puffy vest, the sort of thing you might want for a flight),.
Hey astrog8tr - it's definitely important to find what works for you and your use case. 👍 What's your go-to sling?
- Rebecca
Hi, yeah true and different strokes. Haven't found the perfect thing necessarily for the new Cotopaxi Allpa. But trying out the Patagonia lightweight travel tote. Can be worn as backpack or shoulder bag. Has water bottle pockets. May work for next trip with many day hikes. Going to try on some day hikes, excursions and check out. Would love to see a review.
That's great astrog8tr, thanks for sharing - let us know how you get on with it! 😊👍

Hey Mike - we can see this product isn't for you. What's your go-to carry at the moment?
- Rebecca
Sounds like we're going to have to check that Wal-Mart pouch out - 2 years of use for $17 is solid! Thanks!
- Rebecca
People need to stop wearing these fanny packs as slings, it looks ridiculous. I have a Peak Design 10L Sling, that's an actual sling. LOL
Hey Venom5809 - definitely not for everyone, though a 66% approval rating on IG is pretty good. Glad you've found the Peak Design 10L that works for you. All the best,
- Rebecca
10 L seems more of a normal size for a sling, and would be worth your while to carry. Could almost carry the stuff he has in there in my pockets.
I wore fanny packs for years back in the day. All types, sizes and colors 😁And that's what this is, but with a modern name change.
@@venom5809 but could you actually wear this like a fanny pack?
