The extra beeps and boops of doing this theme in a bit style remind me quite a bit of the gameboy soundchip and the megaman battle network games that came out for it. This is great stuff!
Thanks for the comment! I'm happy that it somewhat reminds you of Megaman. I love the whole franchise's OST and lately I've been listening a lot of MMZ so that has definitely influenced me (tho I haven't really heard much of battle nekwork's music, I should change that)
@@javiscripter I think a good starting recommendation would be the Nebula Gray battle network boss theme. Listening to this remix I was stunned by how much I was reminded of that particular boss track, and even more stunned by the strange similarities between the two bosses themselves (bittercold is a manifestation of pkmn's dark emotions and misery... and Nebula gray is a manifestation of human evil... err, mgmn battle network got kinda weird haha).
@@BlueEnergyCat It's a universe where robots seem to literally have a soul (as seen in the Z series) so at this point nothing can take me by surprise. I just took a quick listen and, as expected, it is a great song. I guess both themes try to convey a similar feeling of "this is your chance to destroy this chaotic being"
Thank you very much! I love GtI, and this theme and battle are some of my favourites from the entire saga. I'm glad you liked the pixelart as well, I took my time with that one haha
@@nihilski This is definitely one of my fav songs from the entire saga. It's just so epic I can't just not get goosebumps when I remember the whole scene that leads to it
Honestly, This would work as a final battle/stage in a Mega Man fan game. 2:02 And some of the sound effects at the end has the feeling where Mega Man blasts his last shot at the boss.
I'm really happy the song could somewhat capture those Mega Man vibes! The first effect is also inspired on Mega Man's death sound. Glad you noticed those references 😌
@@javiscripter Yeah, I can imagine Mega Man being like at the end facing Bittercold saying this. Mega Man: "The reason *why* your effect doesn't work to get me out of existence is because I don't belong in this world being a pokemon. I'm Mega Man, the SUPER FIGHTING ROBOT to fight all for justice and world peace by my hands! And I will save any type of kind of universes that are in danger from any chaotic source such as yours to harm these pokemons or any kind in the world!" "I will destroy you, Bittercold!" "This is the FINAL STAND for my mission! You don't scare me nor will stand a chance to face me!"
I always keep forgetting that I still have this game to this day and even in 8-bit this still sounds amazing you really got your work cut out on making this impressive
I can't recommend GtI enough. It might be the weakest in terms of gameplay, but its story and characters are totally worth it. But yeah, PMD never misses with the music 🎵 Thank you very much!
Excellent remix and pixel art! It's awesome to see GTI and PMD in general still get love to this day. Thank you for remixing a great song from one of my favorite games ever!
I love the whole saga (and I think GtI deserves much more love) so I'll continue to do my bit to this wonderful community 💪 Thank YOU for listening (and for your comment) 🫂
the algorithm handed me this gem today - super underrated!! vs the bittercold has always been my personal favorite final boss theme of the pmd series (bit of a niche opinion haha), and this cover does an awesome interpreting it. subbed! (also did you make the pixel art icon? looks great!)
OMG Garpa Nova, I love your remixes! Yeah, the bittercold theme is amazing and the build up to it still gives me chills. It truly deserves more praise. Also yes, I made the icon. It feels more personal to do it myself, and it also lets me to better set the mood of these songs. And of course it's just so much fun to draw haha Thank you so much, it means a lot!
Thank you algorithm for dropping peak PMD on my recommended.
Good stuff!
Thanks!
PMD is always peak 😎
This goes hard for an old 8-bit sound. Bravo!
Thanks a lot!
It's amazing how much can be done with just some chip-like sounds haha
Love that title pun. XD
The remix gives me 8-bit Mega Man vibes. I love it.
I couldn't resist haha
Megaman is the father of banger chiptune songs for videogames, it's impossible to not take inspiration from it!

love this
Thank you!
...Y'know what, I didn't even realize it somewhat sounded like the TG motif 🥴
awesome cover for such an underrated and deserving boss theme! i love the pixel art too!

I would of love an animation Mega Man facing Bittercold and charges his shot at it for that scene.@@javiscripter
If I was more skilled in animating I could've tried that haha
But now that you mention it, a MegaMan x PMD minigame sounds really cool

Thanks ♥
Once again, TH-cam brings me to a masterpiece that I never knew was there. Amazing work.
This one is my fav I've done so far, so I am very happy to see more people enjoying it.
Thank you very much 🫂
Although i never ended up playing Gates to Infinity, as always you gotta love the music from Mystery Dungeon :D

I might have to give it ago and get some remixes done for the games then! Still praying the a good remake of time/darkness/sky.
Awesome work, I love the groove!

These 8-bit renditions of Gates music are beautiful. Thanks :D
Gates' music is truly amazing.
Thank you for listening!
Absolute banger 🔥
