- Above the traffic and bustle on a Bronx street, a queen works her magic. Jenny Bui has come to be known as "The Queen of Bling" for giving Cardi B her famous jewel-encrusted manicures that can be seen on red carpets and in her music videos. She has been working on her nail artistry for more than 20 years, but life didn't always sparkle for Jenny. She was born in Cambodia and fled the oppressive Khmer Rouge regime as a child. my mom's a nail tech and a relationship between a client and her nail tech is so precious. my mom worked at 2 different nail salons until she made her own salon and you would be surprised how many people followed her to those different salons because she has been working on their nails for years. the bonds they have is crazy sweet

I ran into the same problem, so I googled a local lady that specializes in nail bling/art. I ended up finding someone who works one client at a time, out of a cozy room off of a small salon. Try searching “nail-design technicians near me” or something similar, & maybe you’ll find someone, too. I found that going to a person, rather than a generic salon, was the key to finding a technician willing & happy to create art.
