i love to see how fast this channel has grown! congrats! i remember you posing the question in the NCS group way back, when you still weren't sure if you should do it or not.
Great question. The easy answer is yes it would work. However, you would not want the basic to be attached to the back up line incase it were to get shock loaded
Awesome videos man. Quick questions, I normally do pull through with wire slings and pulleys. Do you believe it would still be safe if I replace the pulleys with inverted ducks?
@@theropeaccessandclimbingpo2380 they’re designed to be double locking and are less likely to get cross loaded. It is essentially a small locking shackle
In advance I apologize for using the medium, I ask if you have rope acces and climbing shirts or caps that I can buy and what would be the medium, please
Instead of the ducks or just clicking in to the carabineer, click in and then wrap the rope once around the carabineer spine. The carabineer will stay where you put it and will lay in the correct orientation. A bit more friction upon retrieval but not excessive.

Ya it’s been an awesome ride.
It’s come a long way and I’ve learnt a lot

Thank you. I do what I can
What about using a Petzl basic? I think it would work as good as this, but i'm beginner so i would like to hear your opinion.

That depends on the model of pulley...
You should look into a singing tree quickie as an alternative to the carabiners
Oh, why is that?

Are there any reasons for using the duck instead of a shunt other than the certification as back up of the duck? 🧐
That will all depend on your company procedures.

Interesting method.
I’ll have to try that out here.
Cheers
