I never started on this game as I was never interested in it, but I remember working and hearing all the hype about COD Modern Warfare 2 - From then on in, I was hooked!
Alexis Ozil same I still remember putting WAW into my 360 for the first time and hearing the menu music thinking that COD had changed from a war themed FPS to a horror game
When it comes to the soundtrack in this game for me its the music on the black cats level, high energy thunderous drums kicking as you HIT THOSE FUCKING PT BOATS
Jamecia It all depends which type of war you want to fight. Obviously MW2 is more futuristic as opposed to World at War. It's actually an incredibly hard choice. World at War has a lot of atmosphere and huge maps. Mw2 also has brilliant maps and weapons too. I think if i had tje choice right at this very moment i'd pick World at War. Simply because there has been nothing like it since, where as there are plenty of modern style war games within the CoD series. Hope this helps!
i remember buying this game but realizing i didnt have xboxlive at the moment, so i just started single player... went through that in 1 sitting... best decission ever.
Oh and playing through the campaign on Veteran is how real men were made. I know i never finished that bullshit fest. None of this hand holding pansy shite you get now where half the game beats itself even on the hardest difficulty. WaW kicked your balls in repeatedly and without mercy.
Noobie2k7 Exactly I still remember how fucking painstakingly difficult it was taking Pelleliu(Spelling?). Running through the trenches getting in close quarters with the Japanese... Now that is a mission. I can't even get started on the Russian mission, that sniper battle across buildings on Veteran was fucking brilliant. A FUCKING SNIPE-OFF IN CALL OF DUTY.
Na the worst was taking out the flak cannons on heart of the reich on veteran. Ive actually been scarred for life by the fucking grenade spam... But it felt so fucking good to complete it on veteran and get the platinum!
I mean ive been to hell, not gonna lie it was pretty fucking fun, killed me some demon scum with my super shotgun ;) But seriously tho, its just about having absurd self restraint to not lose your shit and hardcore patience
I was bless to be able to play World at war for my first call of duty, I had no Idea what cod was during 2011 I picked up waw because it said call of duty and I'm so Fucking Happy I did best cod in my opinion
-The start screen music -Voiceovers inc. rank up & match win/lose etc - Springfield - M1A1 Carbine - MP40 Dual Mag - Castle, Upheaval, Dome, Seelow, Asylum, Sub Pens - Achievement when reaching 10th Prestige (Go get some sun) lol Everything about this game was sick. Hands down best Cod!
"Our hounds vill tear zem to shreds!" Gotta love the German announcer in multiplayer. Thats how you really make people play the objective have him shout at you all match long.
This game was the first call of duty game I've ever played. When it came out in 2008 I was 7 years old, my dad had just got it, I watched him play this for hours. I tried it out, my favorite mode was zombies. The new mode was so innovative and ahead of its time for a war game. This game has to be one of the most nostalgic games since street fighter.
best cod! i was a type 100 with extended mag and type 99 with bipod master! the 100 for up close and a stupid amount of bullets and the 99 for mid to long range as the iron sights and lack of recoil on it were flippin awesome
Still the greatest COD ever made in my opinion, from the multiplayer gameplay to the campaign, even the soundtrack... everything was absolutely fantastic. Shame we are never gonna get a remaster :(
Everything said in this video is spot on. Not even an exaggeration with the dogs, the tank, and especially the main menu. This was my first Xbox Live multiplayer game when I didn't have Halo 3 yet. I would buy a remastered one.
Great video, very well put together, not too detailed but still detailed enough to make me remember everything you talked about. This and CoD4 where the best games infinity ward and Treyarch have ever made.
Seeing you go over the weapons, made me remember that you could tell someone's skill by the gun they had. If some had a PPSH, an M1A1 or a flamethrower, you knew you were getting fked that match
The thing that stands out from this game when I look back is how dark and gritty it was. A lot of games and movies glamorise war. This game didn’t do this at all and made everything just simply terrifying. To make a blockbuster game in this style took a lot of courage and we owe it to the company for doing it.
I remember the first time I picked up someone’s ptrs sniper off the ground as a new player and watching the guy I shot across the map explode into bits.... traumatic lol
World at War is definitely one of my all time favorite games ever, I played this game so fucking much. It was one of the few games I got when I got my PS3 at Christmas back in '08 (I think it was 2008), and the other 2 games I got (The cell shaded Prince of Persia game, and Resistance 2) I just didn't like them or play them as often as World at War. I didn't find out that I could play games online or that the PlayStation Network was free, so for like 2 months after Christmas all I did was play the campaign and try to beat it on the hardest difficulty. Then my brother had his friend over one day and I was playing the campaign on veteran, then his friend asked me what level I was and I told him that you don't gain levels in Call of Duty, lol. That's when he showed me about the P.S.N. and after I set up my account and signed in I discovered online multiplayer, lol. I had always loved playing games like Golden Eye and perfect dark with 3 other friends sitting around playing split screen and having huge arguments over screen watching because that was widely considered as cheating and you could always tell if someone else was watching your screen because they would come around a corner shooting or would flank you because they knew exactly where you were, lol. So being able to play against other people online with no screen watching was so fucking amazing back then. Once I started playing WaW online it was pretty much the only thing I played, and the only mode I ever played was Free for all because I was brand new to playing against other players and kind of sucked so I didn't want to play any team based modes because I thought I would be the weak link and make the team lose, lol. After a few weeks of getting used to the maps and the feel of the game I started to fucking dominate free for all matches. I would get to 30 kills and win the match in like 3 or 4 minutes and the closest player to me would maybe have 10-15 kills, but I didn't care because that shit was so fun when a match starts and you start mowing people down immediately and then you have your fucking dogs running around getting tons of kills before the second place player had 4 kills. Everyone always say the MP-40 was the best gun and that it was OP and everyone would go all try hard with it, but I fucking hated that gun. It just felt so clunky and had a painfully slow fire rate, and was just an overall ugly gun imo. I used it for a few matches because I would notice how many people used it in my lobbies, it seemed like every dead body had an MP-40 to pick up, but it just fired too damn slow. My favorite gun, and the deadliest gun imo, was the Type-100. (I think it was called the Type-100, maybe the Type-99, it was the SMG where the clip went on sideways and stuck out, and your character would use the clip as a grip). That gun just fucking melted people and the sights were clean, and it was just an awesome looking and performing gun. The other fun I would use was the PPSH, or something like that. It was a good gun, and it was the coolest looking gun in the game imo, but the fire rate was almost too fast. You could burn through an entire 50 round clip in what seemed like a second. Obviously anyone you shot first was dead in an instant, but if there were multiple enemies you were almost guaranteed to die because it would chew through a clip so that by the time your first enemy was dead and you were ready to start shooting the second you would almost always have to reload. I definitely have a bias towards WaW because it was not only the first CoD I played but was also the first online multiplayer game I ever played and I played the shit out of it. I miss being able to eviscerate people in WaW, lol. Shooting muhfuckers limbs and head off, or watching them explode into little pieces was fucking satisfying, but for some reason they stopped the ultra violence and WaW is the last game I remember where you could shoot someone's limbs off, then when their dead you can shoot off their heads and other limbs and just leave a fucking torso, lol.
Venci clothing the futuristic cods aren't bad in fact I think infinite warfare was one of the better cod games because of how it got the future right and how amazing the campaign was. And before you try calling me a little kid I'm actually 22. However I will admit I enjoy the modern and ww2 cods more.
I was feeling nostalgic and I wanted to remember WAWs glory. Loved this game. My favorite COD. Only real contender to it as a personal favorite was modern warfare 2
I remember playing this cod as a kid but mainly only campaign and played the zombies version on iPod touch. Me and my bro would play the campaign but couldn't get passed half the missions because our Xbox would say that the disk was dirty no matter how hard we tried to clean it :(
Quite a few people are playing this game. I went on war last night and it was full. If you are thinking of getting this game, then get it. It's amazing
Now I wish this would be remastered! I freaking loved this game. My favorite thing to do was build classes dedicated to what side I was playing as. My favorite was my Russian class; PPSH with extended mag cuz it would mow people down lol
Went back playing it yesterday. Absolutely brilliant cod. You actually had to have skill to play this, the guns required it, not like MWR's m16 etc. This cod was unique. The first one to have dogs, zombies etc. Some quality, real life locations for maps too. I hope the next cod is either waw remastered or Vietnam, either way, I hope it plays like waw.
Hi Marley it's amazing to see u do vids cause there's never any Scottish youtubers and ur Funny I've been subbed for a while as well so I really hope u get to 1 million or more so keep doing good
This was really my favourite COD. And I really miss playing it. I got this nostalgic tear when I watched the video, it really makes me want to reinstall. But how active are the servers still?? I don't give a shit if there are only enough people to make one server, that's more than worth it for me. Probably the best online game play COD so far.
I loved it when you heard the Russian shout at the end of a game when you won! plus the campaign was one of the best! please do a dedicated video the zombies and campaign of this game!!!
Troops I would appreciate a wee vote here for yer boy Marley 🙌🏻 www.redbull.com/gb-en/rising-stars-of-youtube-poll
MarleyThirteen on it like a car bonnet big man
I never started on this game as I was never interested in it, but I remember working and hearing all the hype about COD Modern Warfare 2 - From then on in, I was hooked!
too funny mannn
let's play WAW together
MarleyThirteen your fucking amazing man. You earned my subscription with only a few videos
This CoD had the best soundtrack , the menu music really creeped me the fuck out as a kid
Alexis Ozil It was a bit creepy aye
Alexis Ozil same I still remember putting WAW into my 360 for the first time and hearing the menu music thinking that COD had changed from a war themed FPS to a horror game
MarleyThirteen can you reply I subbed and love this video
Yeah I'm 15 and playing veruckt with the sound still creeps me out XD
When it comes to the soundtrack in this game for me its the music on the black cats level, high energy thunderous drums kicking as you HIT THOSE FUCKING PT BOATS
Remaster W@W
Tom Cushnie yep 💯
Tom Cushnie no theyll fuck it up
But the thing is everyone will stop playing the old one which is the one I've got so the multiplayer will be shit.
Nothing will b as gud as original
Nah, it will basically be MWR with a ww2 theme.
Who else thinks WaW is the best cod?
For campaign indeed this, Cod 4 and MW2.
I don't really an sure but BO1 and this are the best
Mr. Popfart GHOST IS
Mr. Popfart me yes
this MW1/MW2 and BO1 are all tied for best COD. those are the 4 classics, nothing else will ever compare again
How good was it? It was fucking amazing mate!
MelonHD You know it!
WAW was my fave COD
The Gangster hey it's even better than infinite warfare
'As soon as you hear that sound you know yer fucked' true at
I remember an unhealthy addiction to zombies as a ten year old
Inconvenient Timing my dad and I would stay up till like 3am playing zombies. My mom would get so pissed on school nights
Probably the best cod alongside mw2. Those two being remastered would be the dream. The ultimate dream.
100%
stevil2006 between those two which one do you think is better? I'm trying to figure out which one to get
Jamecia It all depends which type of war you want to fight. Obviously MW2 is more futuristic as opposed to World at War. It's actually an incredibly hard choice. stevil2006 thanks
stevil2006 and the first black ops
Cod5 was the best. Loved the Gewehr so much. The only problem is i've had the tune from when the Wehrmacht win stuck in my head for the last 5 years
That's how I found and started to like German military music lol.
Vor uns liegt Deutschland, in uns marschiert Deutschland, und hinter uns kommt Deutschland! *insert the winning tune
Adam. its called the konnigratzer marsch
Cod5?
Now I feel like playing this again
Nova Get it played
MarleyThirteen I will didn't think u would reply
This game was my all time favorite!
TheBurtDude u still play this
i remember buying this game but realizing i didnt have xboxlive at the moment, so i just started single player... went through that in 1 sitting... best decission ever.
Defend a settlement garvey
World at War is my favorite Call of Duty ever and in my top 3 games of all time
JR216 even when its graphics ages, it looks good because it is ww2
Ghost stomps
Same
Oh and playing through the campaign on Veteran is how real men were made. I know i never finished that bullshit fest.

I remember playing it on Veteran lol.... The amount of times I wanted to break my controller... The real 'game rage' was real back then :D
Dude fucking what? 3 TIMES?! Respect is fucking due! xD
back in 2008 i decided not to buy this game because cod 4 was to much fun. it definitly was fun but this game proved to be gold as well
I had completely forgot you could drive tanks in WaW. Totally threw me off. Remember when COD was good?
So happy it's atleast Backwards Compatible for Xbox One! All my modded stuff came with it to from people infecting you with mod menus lol.
Your voice makes me a very happy man.
The sounds when you level up are mint.
I was bless to be able to play World at war for my first call of duty, I had no Idea what cod was during 2011 I picked up waw because it said call of duty and I'm so Fucking Happy I did best cod in my opinion
GhostPoison damn, shoulda played it in its glory days when It was new. Those were the days, full fuckin lobbies.
-The start screen music
-Voiceovers inc. rank up & match win/lose etc
- Springfield
- M1A1 Carbine
- MP40 Dual Mag
- Castle, Upheaval, Dome, Seelow, Asylum, Sub Pens
- Achievement when reaching 10th Prestige (Go get some sun) lol
Everything about this game was sick. Hands down best Cod!
"Our hounds vill tear zem to shreds!" Gotta love the German announcer in multiplayer. Thats how you really make people play the objective have him shout at you all match long.
PTRS-41 still one of my favorite weapons ever.
So many great memories
It will always have a place in my heart so sad

Got PTSD when I heard the bouncing Betty sound
COD WAW will always have a special place in my heart they NEED to remaster this ASAP
Same
Cod 4 to bo2 the golden age of cod. Waw and cod 4 are my favourite cods ever.
Best call of duty by far. Brings back so many memories playing this through till the early hours every night

was 9 Years old when this game came out I still go back to it and enjoy it the same way.
Holy fuck the nostalgia...
Easily the best cod. Co-op campaign as well in this which you could level up your online player with.
best cod! i was a type 100 with extended mag and type 99 with bipod master! the 100 for up close and a stupid amount of bullets and the 99 for mid to long range as the iron sights and lack of recoil on it were flippin awesome
Still the greatest COD ever made in my opinion, from the multiplayer gameplay to the campaign, even the soundtrack... everything was absolutely fantastic. Shame we are never gonna get a remaster :(
that 1v1 sniper campain mission though
Couldn’t beat that bastard on Veteran
Ill let you know i finished veteran mode in WAW and was on meds for only 7 months.
Everything said in this video is spot on. Not even an exaggeration with the dogs, the tank, and especially the main menu. This was my first Xbox Live multiplayer game when I didn't have Halo 3 yet. I would buy a remastered one.

I watched so many of your videos back to back I've taken up some of the Scottish accent and I DON'T REGRET IT
This should've been the shortest video on TH-cam. IT WAS FOOKIN GR8 M8!
Your scottish accent made this video 10X better lol.. love this game and so glad there making a new one. 👍🏼👍🏼
I got a cold chill when I heard that menu music at the beginning 😂 this game was so fun with friends
I was 9 years old when I first played this back in ‘08. It is still the best CoD.
This was the hardest CoD to best on veteran. The grednades...the god damn grenades.
was my first cod game, still my favourite to this day
Hey just discovered this pile of awesomeness and I would love a remastered WAW
Damn I remember hearing those war crys for momentum and just getting hyped
To this day, still my favourite treyarch based COD game and debatably the best of all for me, with COD4 running in a close 2nd
marley u should make a video about MW
I loved the sound we got when we got headshots in world at war.
The thing that stands out from this game when I look back is how dark and gritty it was. A lot of games and movies glamorise war. This game didn’t do this at all and made everything just simply terrifying. To make a blockbuster game in this style took a lot of courage and we owe it to the company for doing it.
I remember the first time I picked up someone’s ptrs sniper off the ground as a new player and watching the guy I shot across the map explode into bits.... traumatic lol
this is my favorite Call Of Duty by far. It was also my first taste of zombies!
I have liked how you felt like a real sniper in the multiplayer and the maps were so big
How has it been 7 years since this video! Still so good!
Best Call of Duty. So many memories. Need to make a remastered.
Love how there's a player in one of these clips called "i farted it stinks". I think I'm gonna steal that for my overwatch smurf.
God I'm glad I'm not the only 1 that thinks waw is the best cod
One of the best videos I've watched in ages, haha. Nailed it! So much truth.
Was in the pub clans DE50 and DTK. Number 1 in the leader boards back in the day. Ahh good times
The old cod waw people still play this including me it's that amazing
Top quality many hours watching !! Zombies was brutal especially after 45 rounds
Great video keep making the compilation for world at war
1:57 my mate John called that gun "the pizza gun" 😂
World at War is definitely one of my all time favorite games ever, I played this game so fucking much. It was one of the few games I got when I got my PS3 at Christmas back in '08 (I think it was 2008), and the other 2 games I got (The cell shaded Prince of Persia game, and Resistance 2) I just didn't like them or play them as often as World at War. Do a video on how s**t call of duty is now
Venci clothing yes that's a good idea
Keifer Sutherland as the American play by play: “We kicked ass!” That was the golden age of Call of Duty.
Venci clothing the futuristic cods aren't bad in fact I think infinite warfare was one of the better cod games because of how it got the future right and how amazing the campaign was. And before you try calling me a little kid I'm actually 22. However I will admit I enjoy the modern and ww2 cods more.
Mr.noizy they Finally Landed on the earth again
I believe I played the campaign when I was young and that’s it. I would love to see a remastered so I can experience this game
How have I not found this guy before!? He's fooking amazing!
I was feeling nostalgic and I wanted to remember WAWs glory. Loved this game. My favorite COD. Only real contender to it as a personal favorite was modern warfare 2
I remember playing this cod as a kid but mainly only campaign and played the zombies version on iPod touch. Me and my bro would play the campaign but couldn't get passed half the missions because our Xbox would say that the disk was dirty no matter how hard we tried to clean it :(
Shame this has such little views man, just saw this on fb with 4m views, sucks you don't get the recognition man great video
Quite a few people are playing this game. I went on war last night and it was full. If you are thinking of getting this game, then get it. It's amazing
World at war was my favourite cod, my and my brothers used to call the DP-28 The Bin lid gun though hahaha
Extremely. The darker atmosphere, something sinister about it, and the gore is top notch. Ever cod after this was a step backwards.
great video man. well written. im still playing world at war on pc its fantastic fun
4 years later and we get COD WW2 Vanguard. A very watered down version so bad that its actually making people go back to the classics
World at war campaign memories, Defo need a vid
best COD ever! the WW2 setting and soundtrack made me prefer this over the masterpiece COD 4! their was just something about WaW that made it special.
Now I wish this would be remastered! I freaking loved this game. My favorite thing to do was build classes dedicated to what side I was playing as. My favorite was my Russian class; PPSH with extended mag cuz it would mow people down lol
I’m still playing this game
This is probably the fun most game I had in my entire life
The memories of this game brings a tear to my eye
I loved WaW. It was a great game. I think all OG COD players loved this game.
The zombie mode. Getting on Der Reise with ppsh 41 pack a punched and mg42 camping till i die. Amazing
My favorite part of multiplayer was ripping people's limbs off with the trench gun bayonet lmao. Never knew why it could do that, but it was awesome
"our hound will tear zemto shreads" was the best.
Why have I only just found out about this channel, I fucking love this, nice work bro😂😂 the Scottish accent made it twice as good👌👌👌
Hi Marley it's amazing to see u do vids cause there's never any Scottish youtubers and ur Funny I've been subbed for a while as well so I really hope u get to 1 million or more so keep doing good
This was really my favourite COD. And I really miss playing it. I got this nostalgic tear when I watched the video, it really makes me want to reinstall. But how active are the servers still?? I don't give a shit if there are only enough people to make one server, that's more than worth it for me. Probably the best online game play COD so far.
0:39 that’s SO true. Got screwed over many a time by those betties.
amazing memories of me and my mate taking turns aboot online while the other person chatted shite over the mic
I loved it when you heard the Russian shout at the end of a game when you won! plus the campaign was one of the best! please do a dedicated video the zombies and campaign of this game!!!
