Congratulations on the video, very nice fish. I do not know if it is true in the Atlantic but in the Mediterranean as soon as we catch salpa we must immediately kill it and then take out its entrails otherwise it has a strange smell when you eat it
This fish only tastes good at one time of the year, in summer. It's good fried or grilled. To keep it tasting good, before freezing it, you have to remove the guts from it, as there are the seagrasses it eats and which they rot, which gives the fish a bad taste.
@@jotajomoso Thank you for your response. So it's the same, except that in Greece we prefer to move the guts at the same time we catch it (after we kill it of course). This seems to be better for the taste of the fish.
