Winter Ride -Tisssington , High Peak and Longdale

Peak District, Cold winters day for an MTB ride south of Buxton. We followed the Tissington Trail from Hurdlow to parsley Hay then the high peak trail to Pikehall. From there we branched of on to bridleways down and along Long Dale. Climing over the ride and down to join the road to Middleton. Back across the green lane to rejoin the High Peak trail back to Hurdlow. Great pub lunch at the Royal Oak in front of a welcome fire. Minus 3 C.

Outstanding fun! You can't beat a cross-country ride when it's crisp and clear - but some of those climbs seemed a bit severe!

The climbs aren’t too bad on that route and if you want to do the downhills then there’s no alternative.
