This is a TEMPORARY indoor 20 gallon aquarium for my Pelomedusidae. I may add a few more artificial trees for hiding. This is only TEMPORARY I will be putting her back outside very soon.

Suggestion:
Even though it’s a temporary tank, and some more decorations! Turtles in general like to explore. Give her some more plants, hiding space, ect to explore.

It’s just submersible heater. You can pick it up at Petsmart or Walmart.

How do you know if you have a male or female

The female has a flat bottom. The make has a slight curve.

Yes. People say they can’t digest them. Mines has no problem yet. I don’t read them to her often.

Right and leaving them at petco is a better option? Or bringing them to their natural environment? Neither is better than caring for them as a pet. Wake up! people that adopt them from stores are saving them if they care for them correctly!
