Any dry enough wood will do. On TH-cam are many videos on how to quickly dry wood in an oven or in a microwave.
Wood is not so much the problem for me. Getting resin is a bigger problem (also because it's rather expensive) and there are so many
types of resin. There is also a big variety of light systems.
