Emmett Kelly used to appear in all kinds of variety shows back in the 60's and was a clown in Ringling Bros. Barnum and Bailey Circus from the early 40's to late 50's. plus several other circuses before that. he was in a couple of movies including the blockbuster "The Greatest Show On Earth" by famous director Cecil B DeMille (The Ten Commandments). other huge stars in the movie were Jimmy Stewart and Charleton Heston! He was super famous! Passed away in 1979. I remember him very well.

Check the stained glass lamp shades for a signature, hopefully it’s a Tiffany shade. Don’t be afraid to ship glass, I ship it all the time, just use the best bubble wrap, use 2 boxes, fill in all the dead space and it will be fine.

Emmett Kelly Jr clown autograph is legit. He used to come to Gaitlinburg TN every year on the weekend after Thanksgiving. I have tons of them that my mother had. There should be a certificate of authenticity somewhere He always used a sharpie

Emmett Kelly Jr. Was a famous clown in his day. He was from Kewanna, Indiana, 6 miles from where I now live. We have seen him many times. He never talked in public when dresses as a clown. But he had a lot of interesting stories when he was out of costume.

If that knife says Bolder Co and has a serial # on the tang of the blade . Also has a blood trench on the blade . It is a military fighting knife from the 1950's the last one I sold on Ebay went for 427.00.

Dude, one time I found outside of a drop off zone for old stuff a huge box of old really nice super nice ornaments for a Christmas tree. I just left it there because I had no idea how to sell it but after watching this it seems like I should’ve grabbed it and sold it in one big box on eBay.

The glass balls are paperweights. The bottles should sell for a decent price. My auction friend sells the paper weights locally for close to $100 each depending on the colors. :)

Emmett Kelly died in 1979. He is buried in my hometown of Lafayette, Indiana. He was a famous circus clown for Ringling Brothers, and Barnum and Bailey. The glass balls are paperweights.

The beads in the Christmas vintage bag could be mercury beads and are worth a little bit so look them up

Also, some dark colored carved wooden animals are made of "ironwood" which sells well. :)
With vintage Coke bottles, the value is most often associated with the city embossed on the bottom of the bottle
That glass ball is a quality paperweight. That woven thing you said might be a cactus is a trivet for warm food dishes.

I think you will MORE than triple if you list those smalls individually….Also, not a Barbie expert but often times when you see the 1960’s date on the head it’s actually the mold date and not the date the Barbie was made….Great locker!!!
This is correct. The majority of Barbie’s you find will have 1966 in them which the mold/body style most are done in. But those Barbie outfits are outstanding and could be pretty valuable. Great job on that unit.

Someone else may have told you, but the date on the Barbie Body actually can be misleading. Sometimes it's the original date that that particular body was made, not necessarily the issue date.

I am sure you have figured out your little piece with the stand, but in case you have not it is Chinese carved soapstone. Depending on the design and size will determine value. But at this point it is all just the cherry on top. Y'all picked a great locker.

Sadly, Emmett Kelly died in 1979. Emmett Kelly Jr portrayed a similar character, Weary Willie. He passed in 2006. (Thx to my BFF Go Ogle... super smart friend to have). You guys will do well with this unit. Good luck!! Love your show ♡

Mille Bornes Card game is fun. My sister's husband was in Air Force and when they came home from his tour in Germany they introduced us to the game. That was maybe 30+ years ago.
Love watching you. I've learned a lot from you and Kayla's experiences. I wish I had room to store stuff to do this part time.
My dad was in Germany in the Air Force ( Zweibrucken) and we had that game growing up,too.
The Tiffany style lamps can ALL BE REPAIRED! Don't toss them out.
Look up the Barbies...some are collector's item and be sold separately... Other you can bundle... But really look them up... There are a lot of Barbie collectors.

Check the lamps and make sure they are not Tiffany lamps. Some Tiffiny lamps sell for a few thousand dollars and more. They didn't look like they were on video but just make sure you check them and let me know so that I can buy one (In my dreams)
I'm pretty sure you can get the stain glass shades repaired and it could still be valuable.

Julian check the travel clock with the blacklight too. Alot of old clocks used uranium in numbers & hands.

The colorful thing you found after the March of Dimes bears is a straw trivet. They sell for good money. Barbie in white with the parasol is from Gone with the Wind.. The glass ball is a paperweight. Again... Good money.

Eee Gad you found some great old classic rock music. I really enjoyed this part 4 was it? You found a gold mine in those old toys, lures and Barbies. The date on the dolls butt is the copyright date. The stands are dated. Do some research on the progression of the Barbie doll. The lips, eyes and possible earrings help date the issue of doll.

Remember that paper can be gold to the ephemera collectors. Even old manuals, instructions, maps, booklets, greeting cards, etc. When I downsized my mother to assisted living I wasn’t aware of that niche and probably tossed $$$$.
I belong to a lot of junk journal groups and people go crazy for it!

Man, I bought a mini spoon lot from an online auction. All, but one were basically worthless. One strangely was a Rolex spoon. Yes, the Rolex watch company. I think I got like $30 for it. So, I made a little money on the lot of spoons, but the rest just were clutter for awhile until I got rid of them.

The stained glass can be repaired,
We never let our kids take their Barbie dolls out of the house with shoes on after we lost one shoe on a quick McDonald's run! Barefoot travels from then on!!!
Once again you should take pictures or rhe real lpshades to an antique dealer. They are probably just old and not from the Tiffany family but some old ones are still worth money. And as I said they can be repaired to look like new. Easy to do but anyone who deals in doing stained glass can repair them and you can make a couple hundred depending on age and style.
I'm just so excited for the "'Treasures''" you have found in this unit. Just don't always look at things and think they might not be worth much. You will be very surprised and the value of some of the strangest items.
And the Red Skelton signed bookend quite possibly be his signature. Some artist had their signature on everything and others only signed them when they were at shows that were sold and someone asked him to sign it. I know his paintings are worth mucho bucks

That "glass ball" with the flat bottom is a Paperweight. The clown is Emmet Kelly. He was a very famous clown. I doubt that he signed it.

Some great paperweights. The blue bird looked liked a Wedgwood polar bear paperweight to me. You also had a millefiori type there too. There are many bottle collectors who need that certain bottle to add to the collection so worth a list. Loved this unit and love both your channels. ❤

The thick Coke bottles were made that way so they would not break in the vending machines. Plus they were returned for deposit so they could be used over and over.
