+GrimmZer0 Most people play lower teir anyway even if they have a teir X tank (which more than half don't), teir X gameplay is full of try-hards, so not as much fun as teir 6 if you just want to play a couple of quick games.
Tier 6 is not the place to experience the meta on NA, I use tier 6 to do missions because it's way easier to take advantage of people. Tier 8-10 is the playing field where the boys are separated from men in terms of skill and understanding of the game.

Hey Quickie i got a proposition for ya. Start a series where you don't show players having huge games and getting kolobanovs medals and such but showing games or even highlights of games submitted by average players having an average game and you giving tips or errors they made in the game, call it Quick Tips or something. Just an idea love yor vids.
QB, on NA people play less arty, because most NAers are jingles fans, and thus hate arty

People who say arty should be banned should play a few games in arty. At high tiers the aim circle is like 5 times bigger than the tanks u r shooting at
+Minecraftster148790 I have the GW Tiger P and that has the same gun as the Tier 9 and Tier 10 arty but it is far less accurate and has a longer aim time. It isn't hard to go and do 2k damage in a 7 minute game. I don't even have to hit the tank I am aiming at and I'll do 750 damage no problem. Even then I hit the tanks about 50% of the time if I just aim and click.
Because going 40 km/h is camping.

Depending on when you play, (afternoon, evening, week, w-e) you will find the style of play and players will be vastly differentI would note your play time when trying to draw conclusions
As it is explained in the WoT wiki traverse speed number is based on the stock engine power. This is why it is usually a higher value for premium vehicles that do not have engine upgrades. The actual traverse speed of upgraded Chromwell with exactly 100% driver and no skills is 36deg/410hp*650hp=57deg
On the traverse rates: these stats listed, for both stock and elite tracks, are with the stock /engine/. So upgrading the engine proportionally improves your traverse rate.
That title reminds me of the top gear Vietnam special when they unveiled the backup bike
QB - thank you for conducting the "experiment" on the NA server. I think that finding out what the meta differences are will be interesting to view and hear your opinion on. One way that I KNOW that the NA server is similar is the amount of trash talking that goes on. Another key similarity is simply that people on all the servers will pick on any "part" of the game that they don't like or that has reduced their enjoyment of the game (ie: Premium round use, Artillery, spotting mechanics (those who don't understand them), etc). I hope you have fun, but please, please, PLEASE never un-cover that chat window while on the NA - it is just as poisonous!

Love the server comparison idea. Hear it all the time so good to get some objective analysis.
On NA west I have noticed there are a lot of Australian and Canadian players. around a third of the players I have met and platooned with are Australian or Canadian. I have been told by Australians that NA servers work the best for them. But they still have 300ms+ ping (Both New Zealand and Australia have sub marine cables running directly to California. But their sub marine connections to Europe are routed through Indonesia and Japan. So I guess that makes sense).
I am exited to hear what you think of the NA server QB. I also think it is an awesome idea to do this. To have a knowledgeable skilled player will help with the trolling between the servers. I find also there is a quite different meta on the NA East as the NA West. You might want to take that into account. For some reason the ping is quite sever difference in my area I am forced to play on the NA West and I find that I don't run into a lot of "statistically" superior player but more of an average player and in my experience. I see a lot more team work than in the past. As for trolls I think every game has them but it isn't as prevalent (well in my experience) on the NA West. I even get many player apologizing after one shotting you. I asked why and they usually say I know how it feels and it is all about luck and not skill most times. So it is going to be interesting to see how you find the NA server and on which one you will base your findings. As for the stating at tier 6 I will agree there isn't much to do down there except grinding out premium tank exp and credits. Tiers 8 through 10 are more telling. But as you are not an idiot you already know that and you are more likly building crews for the tanks you will be using here in the NA servers.

Also to remember when sniping at long ranges(400+ I think); WG cut the amount of data your client receives for their location to half in order to decrease the packed loss and poor connection issues. But this means that at the mentioned long ranges, the tanks' movements appears "laggy".

Story time from the SEA server.
So I was in a T150, moving forward as fast as a T150 goes. then out of nowhere, a Chaffee, with 8k battles and a 150 wn8, rams the back of my tank while trying to auto aim a tank to his left which was about 300m away. He dies. If that wasn't bad enough, he's like :" WTF you blocked the road. Watch where you're going."
I then decided to play a different game.
i like the idea of checking the meta on each server, the little things like this are what is going to keep you big with WOT. I can see only become more and more the main place to get WOT news, updates, review, commenting, ect. There could be a online pdf magazine about WOT for a doller or two a pdf, couple hounded thousand buys that can pay a team and some youtubes to make a monthly in depth Wargaming magazine
You know what is supposed to represent the castle on Himmelsdorf? It is the Elz Castle in Elztal on the Moselle.
QB I think your a great you tuber, you've provided me with such great knowledge on world of tanks, and I'd imagine a lot of people agree.
I noticed your ping went from 30+ on EU server to 100+ on the NA server. In your opinion does the extra ping/lag make it a (big) difference for snap shotting or trying to hit weak spots on a moving tank, or were you just putting it down to an inexperienced crew
Do you think a tank destroyer would do as well sniping the castle? If so, which TD do you think would do well in that role?

The in garage part of your modpack vehicle statistics does not seem to work.
Have re-download and re-installed.
Check XVM website and unable to find a solution there.
Basics are working fine. Maybe XVM has changed something, as the notification no longers hows but, still works in game.
Any ideas would be, very helpful.

something i noticed on the ru server is that the arty players move around a lot more at the end of the game than players on the eu server do.
Quicky I have a question about the warpack mod it seems that it is an unfair advantage when using this mod. I'd like to get your input on this.

wouldnt recommend it tho, u saw how terrible the ping was in the video, I personally dont see any point to play on another server, u will just put urself at a disadvantage

I've played on NA, EU, and SEA servers. EU is more predictable than NA server which can make it easier to exploit weaknesses consistently. NA seems to fluxuate more in the games where you can exploit a major flaw, to the ones where they do something unexpected that ruins your tactic. Granted this happens on the EU server as well, it just seems to happen more often on the NA server.
I cant say too much on the SEA server as I have only played 20-30 games maybe. But I can say is its not as bad as people say.

Hippy new year. How was it with the Extra Ping similar to me when I play NA from New Zealand 135 ping. When I played SA as suggested by War Gaming it was 250-300 Ping and much more common to have packet loss. I have friends that play in NA with 15-20 ping and wonder how it effects play.
got a cromwell game with 2800damage, 6 kills and a Mastery badge. Should I send it to quicky? not sure if i tis anything special.

Anfield plays both servers and I've heard him mention several times that the NA server was a little more campy. Other than that he said they are similar in game play.
@QuickyBabyTV What do you think about the M4A3E8 Fury ?
This is question to anyone who is experienced with World of Tanks. About 6 months ago I felt as though I was completely done with the game and was bored with it at a whole. Recently I have been really wanting to get back into it, only issue being that when I quit the game I gave my account to my sister who has since then made a lot of progress and gotten very good. This being the case my only option to play again, and for anyone who has had to grind up the beginning lines you know how hard this would be. What would you experts recommend I do? I was a unicum in my WoT days and I would almost certainly go crazy having to go through tier 1-8 again. Should I get a good prem and a good amount of gold and free xp up to a good tank and look like a reroll? Or should I suck it up and grind? Let me know.
What part of North America were you playing in? I think the west side of North America plays better than the east.
I started playing first off on the North American server back in 2011! Racked up 16,000 games on that account, then missed the transfer window onto the Asia server so had to make a new account. ( and leave my Type 59 on my NA account ) So far have played about 5,000 games on my Asia server account. Aside from not many people speaking English, the Asia server is way better due to me having a better connection.

2) I sold my normal Cromwell and play only with the Berlin. It's essentially the same tank and I don't imagine many people would notice the difference.
when I played on the test server and also watch your eu replays there were obviously lots of eu and ru players and since I've started playing I've noticed that ru and eu players have a lot more skill
At 12:49 you see him turning the hull of his tank without the turret moving the same amount of degrees.... With default game settings, your turret and hull are fixed when using the A and D key to rotate your tank. Does anyone know how to cancel this (not by moving your mouse ofc)??
+Tilo Burger You counter-rotate the turret against the direction you are turning to prevent it from migrating with the hull traverse. At least, that's what I do...

Maybe different but I play on both PL and XBOX. on xbox you can swap between servers on the same account so i can take my tanks with me to the NA server.
I've certainly found it a more aggressive server and have been left behind in spots that on Europe would just hold a corner where as the NA players push round come hell or high water. Not worse just different play styles.

When I watch QB play on the EU server I am extremely jealous. I was playing a game yesterday on NA and it was 7 left on my team and three on the other. Guess who won by cap? The team of three. AFK arty that didn't even try to interrupt the cap, and I was in a AT-15 slowly chugging back to the flag and bounced the shot that could have reset the cap and then I penetrated my follow up shot after the flag had been captured. Everyone else decided that it took 5 tanks to kill a single Borsig that was no where near the cap circle. My brain felt like it melted after that match.
What program he use to record and put the camera in that way?

i just unlocked the m103 and i find that it should be played like a med. it dose not have the turret armor to do the things the t29 or the t32 could do so now i have to adjust my play style
QB, there is nobody I would trust more to make an impartial judgement of the differences and similarities between the servers. I will be eagerly awaiting your videos!
QB is my most trusted source for an IMPARTIAL analysis. If I do not know, or trust these other super unicum players it is not because I doubt their ability to be amazing at what they do: it's because I am familiar with QB and his methods and I trust him to do a thorough analysis.
I was in the same match with QB on his NA account about a week ago. We were both playing the Skoda T40 :D
I played on the NA server untill I wanted to platoon with a friend. He had an EU account, so I made one myself and started grinding all over again. Not that I was very far on the NA server. My best tank was the Covenanter.
What I did notice and found to be quite anoying is that there (obviously) are more peope who speak English on the NA server than on the EU one, which makes it harder to communicate with teammate on the EU server.
The servers bounce you around. I noticed that I was great one game, and the next popped into a higher tier game = a total loss. Then the server tries to place you back into a tier that it perceives that you will fit in. It is a coin toss to play. Getting more and more players using gold or even mods to get easy kills. I have to be sneaky. Thanks for the videos! Great work there!

it's less criticism and more a question: why we most of the time see you play as high tier or just 3 guys with 1 tier more? I know its hard to fight as low tier, but this are the more exciting battles. I did not start until at order with wn8, but well, I dont use xvm so I cannot say anything about "clutching red barons". I just dont care which color is in front of my tank. They all are dangerous and can let me go back to garage.
And hey, sorry for this bad english. I'm from germany and I wish I could speak the english language much better :/
Could you start a SEA account and look at the gameplay there as well? It's hard to tell just from your replays but it seems to be a very different style.
The real enigine power formula is Real engine power= current engine power+ (current engine power -stock engine power)
At least that is what I remember. And it means that tanks who get 1 engine far superior to the other have better P/W ratios than it would seem. It is not in the terrain resistances as those are affected by track model(stock/upgraded) and also differ between them by around 10%
I play on the Xbox 1 and the meta in tier 7 games are the Tiger 1, T29, and Black prince
Awesome games. If you are truly going to explore the difference between different servers you should really try to get to at least tier 9 on each one. Which NA server are you playing on? I find there's a real difference between the East Coast and West Coast servers as you would expect because of the population differences. Have a great new year.

well I wish I could send you a replay as I've been playing on the US server the majority of my tanking life and I live in Britain.
why would you do that? I see the ping in the video is around 100ms, you put urself at a disadvantage by playing on the NA server. If u choose the EU server, the ping should only be around 30ms...
The most bizarre Meta I know of on the US Eastern server is: At 3:20pm EST -5 GMT the server goes total yolo. My theory is, that is when the Latinos and kids from school start to log in. Which they have every right to do. They like to chat and talk smack. Then around 4:30pm EST -5 GMT they get serious and start to actually play the game. Then the server goes back to normal. Very bizarre meta. My data is based on years of looking at the clock when things go weird. And I have seen 3:20pm EST -5 GMT so many times it is hard to deny.

How do you get such a good connection in the NA server? You get about the same connection in the East NA server as I do in the West one and I live in the Eastern US. Also, the UK is known for their questionable internet service, ha.
Are you playing NA East or West? West does have higher % of derpines, East has some very well established players and it does feel like there are much fewer lemming trains on NA East. Also you will find a lot of good players grinding out cash and WN8 in low tiers 5-7, which will provide you with some challenges and maybe some excitement. Especially with a perkless crew.
Word of advice on the NA server in high tiers. There is a very big skill gap between players over here. You will notice that people either get what they are doing... or they don't lol. You get XVM purple, blue, and greens, and then solid reds to fill the gaps. Watch out for big clan tags like SIMP, HT, HAVOK, MAHOU, SHOJO, Etc. (any Na players add more that I forgot plz. lol) Try playing very late in your timeLike 11 pm London time? Server pop for us is at a maximum then. Also the use of maps is a bit different over here... hope some of this ramble helps.

I used to play world of tanks on the computer, but not I play on the xbox 360, and I find that on the xbox even though I am currently playing low tier, I find comparing to the computer it is roughy the same. There is also a noticeable difference in game-play on NA-West and NA-East. I think it has more to do with what time you play. Late at night hard core gamer's are just that.

Once I played some games with my cousins account on the Russian server and I didn't noticed a difference between EU and RU.

I talked to a player from Turkey who should be in the EU server, but he enjoys the NA server better. He said that it had better overall competition for higher tier tanks.
