Well, after a long time away we headed back to Florence to meet up with our dear friend Walter Moretti and his family. In this video I asked him to give me a close up look at what makes his handbags the highest quality and how he came into the business as a very young apprentice and learned from a master. That red flap purse (the second one they go into detail) - I have a blue one and it's still perfect and I used it every day for two years :)

HI thank you for commenting. I did not ask specifically if these were full grain leather but by his descriptions it sounds like it.

I love Firenze! You do have to be careful because some vendors do not sell quality, and some leather bags are not made in Italy.

Hi Roberta, Yes absolutely true! Some are mass produced just outside of Florence and are not quality at all. Moretti makes his own and they are supremely beautiful.I forget the price of the little bag but I think it is around €89.00

He does ship to the USA. The heat finally did break and was really nice when we were in Florence.

YAY! We had another visit with Sr Moretti and he said he is overwhelmed by the number of people from our channel who come in and visit with him. He also said that uniformly they are lovely people and he so enjoys talking to you all and visiting. He is a charming man and a true expert. I am so glad you went to see him. It makes his day when one of our viewers comes in.
May I know what the exact process of shopping was like? In the video it looks like there is only one model of each on display, do you think there are more bags in the back? I am so worried to arrive at the shop and stand in front of empty shelves on day 😂 Also do you just take whatever your gonna buy and pay for it at the front or are the bags shown merely used for display purposes and I am supposed to ask for them to be brought from the back or something? I just don’t want to offend them
