Madam can i say that "nationalism" is an imaginary concept propagated by the dominant culture... These British scholers are influenced by their Abrahamic concept of religion i.e ethnicity, culture and so on penetrated and supported by the values of that religious practice....
But in case of India the suffering, the torcher, the injustice and discrimination propagated the unity of people through various class(tribal) and religious (say khilafat) struggle... The sence of "NATION" or u can say the unity has created by that daily life struggle which is more or less economic in nature.
