Remembering names isn't what's important though despite the fact that a person remembering this or that name might be used as a useful measure for what's been capturing their attention. What's the value for most people in knowing Tim Kaine was Hilary's VP pick in 2016? I've got to stop and think for a second to even recall John Kerry was the Democratic presidential candidate in 2004.
