I was just at the Port Authority Duane Reese last night.I guess for those who may be confused , the Port Authority is in a bit sketchy part of Times Sq but just a few blocks from Broadway with all the Musical theaters. They gonna get a good laugh out of this. 😂😂
Just to add, it may be sketchy now, but that is *NOTHING* compared to how sketchy it was back in the 70s and 80s. Back then you would get stabbed, or propositioned by a tranny hooker, or accosted by a drug dealer (or all three) in that place or outside it.

I have come and gone through Port Authority Bus Terminal so many times, and they really did get the feel for the place: Nothing bad ever actually happens to you, and yet somehow each time you have this depressing feeling like you just passed through the border regions of Purgatory and Hell.
It’s early Sunday morning. I’m burned out on political news and reveling in having had a bonus hour of sleep (thank you daylight savings). This skit gave me a much needed reset. I’m truly grateful for the talent out there that could created such a masterpiece.

Andy really nailed the awkwardness of transitioning from rapping to singing in mid-song. It's such a John Mulaney observation.
His part was probably my favorite part of the whole thing. I didn't love all of it. But overall, it was a lot of fun.

Musical parodies were a common sketch on the _The Sonny & Cher Comedy Hour_ from 1971 to 1974.
