    thanks for the review I was planning to buy the Campark TC06 for the 4K video quality and sound, we live in the smoky mountains as well so I'm happy to see the quality you are getting, since I saw someone from the UK having foggy video issues with his, with Elk around you that you might be in the Cherokee area somewhere, we are in Sevier county Tennessee, I wanted the trail cam for sharing on TH-cam as well, I'm high functioning autistic and I've had cameras since I was a young kid, so now I just share my passion with our viewers. ~Joy

    Great review, I do a bit of closer capture, I use an lens out of them "cheap to buy reading-glasses" infront of the Camera lens, then the focus range changes to around 6"-24" all pin sharp, may be worth giving it a try, then if happy invest in a proper close-up filter. Cheers Pete UK.

    Your video content is awesome...Thank you for time. talent and effort. I was considering the Campark TC06 4K 60MP WiFi Solar Power Dual Lens Trail Cam before seeing this and because of the sound recording issue I may stay with the TC06 over the TC07. What external solar panel do you recommend?

      Thanks! I really like the audio on the TC06. Campark solar panels are good. There are others but they may require adapters to fit the plugs - check that before buying. BB

    Have only just discovered your channel, great work and thanks for this review. Interested to know how you feel this camera compares to the T200 which I was close to trying but with this new one, I might step up. It's the video quality I'm really keen to know about, realizing the dual cam technology they're using now.

    • @MyBackyardBirding
      @MyBackyardBirding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Welcome to the Backyard. The T200 is a big camera. The TC06 is nice also with better sound if that's more important. But you have to buy a separate solar panel. BN

      @@MyBackyardBirding Thanks for your reply. As well as video quality it is solar that's really important as the cams are for areas highly affected by human-wildlife conflict hence the need for being reliable and cost effective. I think we'll test the TC07 as soon as possible.

    How do we find the charging red light? I just got mine 2day and it’s plugged in but no red light

    • @MyBackyardBirding
      @MyBackyardBirding  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Maybe you are plugging in inside the camera that is for connecting to a PC etc. The light is on the opposite side of the plug in for charging on the outside of the top solar unit. It will be red while charging with the cable and then blue when fully charges. Usually only have to do that the first time then its out in the sun. Camera works great. BB

    The issue I have with most Campark trail cameras is that the stated image resolution is nowhere near what's actually claimed. I have both the T300 & T180 which claim 30MP and 36MP images respectively. But when you have examine photos taken at the various available resolutions, it's very clear that they're all interpolated-up from (approximately 12MP images). I haven't pulled apart any of my cams to see what image-sensor they're using, but I'll be my arse it's a generic Sony 12MP one... I haven't checked video-res yet, but I very much doubt the claims of true 4K res... Time will tell.

    • @MyBackyardBirding
      @MyBackyardBirding  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I have never tried the T300 or T180. I shoot mostly 4K video with my Camparks and the results are pretty stunning if you look at the examples of cropping on the elk calf in the example section of this video and the TC06 video th-cam.com/video/2kQT--O6Tyw/w-d-xo.html and some of the recent documentaries I made using only the T100, T200 and TC06 see for example th-cam.com/video/qdgRmm66Unc/w-d-xo.html The Sony IMX458 image sensor is a true 4k 30 fps product but the 30 and 60 MP images are indeed interpolated, but still fine unless you zoom way in and count pixels. I'm not sure what processor/sensor is used for the startlight camera but its cool. I think these dual camera setups are going to be the thing of the future. But again I don't do images, only video and often take stills from videos for thumbnails.
      The advance in quality of video in the past two years in trail cams is fantastic and I use them very close in like inches at times. Action cams like my GoPro hero 10 can not get close like that even at the narrowest settings they still make the subject too small and of course are limited by battery life and heat buildup unless they are moving. Not that many people use only 4K video in trail cameras as I do but that is the future for quality. So for the price their video is hard to beat. My personal favorite Camparks are the T100 I have 3 and two were completed submerged in a flooded stream bed and soaked for days and after drying out in the hot sun for two days came back to life and are still working. The TC06 has the best audio of any Trail Cam I've tried. Too often audio is overlooked in trail cameras. Good Luck

      Maybe you are plugging in inside the camera that is for connecting to a PC etc. The light is on the opposite side of the plug in for charging on the outside of the top solar unit. Its under a little rubber cover

    • @markhyde43
      @markhyde43 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @MyBackyardBirding I plugged the supplied micro USB cable into the side of the solar panel under the rubber cover. Supposed to be a red light when charging. Nope. No light. When i used a spare cable that I had laying around. A red light illuminated inside the lens window (the one you said was blue) on the opposite side from the plug. That went out after a number of hours. Appears to be charged now.
      But none of this matches what the manuals or what customer support says. So weird. Who knows.
      Initially out of the box, it was precharged. But the following day it would not turn on unless I plugged an outside DC power supply source in the port in the bottom of the camera. But wouldn't work on lithium until I did what I said at the start of this post.
      I guess I got the weird one

    I would not recommend one of these because I recently got one for my birthday and I only had my two and a half weeks and the solar panel power bank battery blew up at first I thought it was just a dead battery so I plugged it into the wall to charge it it started to heat up very quickly

      It is pretty sharp for a trail camera and it all depends on lighting conditions and distance from the camera.
