Thats wild how you swapped out the fittings, but anything is better than that leopard habaki. I got a katana off RVA and as soon as I put it back in the saya I could feel what I'm pretty sure is foam that was stuffed down in there. I don't know if they did that to stop the rattle or what. At first it felt like I had to stab through foam every time, but now it goes in and out pretty good with no rattle and you don't notice it, so maybe it worked. Kinda weird to get a new sword that had that already had that done tho.
Eh, habaki and tsuba swap isn't too bad. Fairly easy to do on your own. Honestly that's a pretty good option to fix saya rattle. I'd rather have that than the blade rattling around in the saya @preparedsurvivalist2245
