  • Follow along as I perform an LS engine Swap on my GM A-Body 1968 Lemans. Same for any GM A-Body like a Chevelle, Cutlass, Skylark, GTO... The engine is an L76 from a 2008 Pontiac G8 GT (an LS2 block, LS3 intake, -713 L92 heads). I will be performing a cam change (deleting the DOD) and Drive by Wire. This part covers correcting my drive line angles

    You’re videos have truly inspired me to take my time on my 1968 Chevelle and rather than just dropping $30k+ at once to have someone else restore my car, to just do it in steps like you have done and to document it. Great video log on the entire restoration process!

      I am glad you like the videos! Little chunks at a time is the best way to do it for time and money. I should be posting more video's this week related to fuel system, sending units and accessory drive updates. Stay tuned

    Thank god a video that I understood. I manual swapped a t56 in my grand Cherokee and I have had a heck of a time figuring out what to set my motor angle at.

    Excellent video man. This is what I needed. I have a '91 Benz 190E. I'll be doing a complete drive train swap. I'm swapping the diff, trans, and engine. It'll be a Frankenstein. Honda K20/24, Nissan R200 differential, and undecided transmission. Tons of adapters and aftermarket support for the JDM stuff to do a swap with. The task seemed a little daunting despite seeing many many cars be successfully swapped. Most build articles don't give you the details of how they do things, I definitely needed this video. Thank you for the confidence.

      Glad it inspired you. It was a learning process but like I said I will do another. Your swap will be crazy unique, I love it!

      @@primegaragegma-bodylsswap2089 well I was already inspired, but I didn't know about the internet calculator for the drive angles. That helped fill in the holes for me. But by the way, I also have a 1968 LeMans just like yours without all of the swapped parts. It's just sitting on the side of my house at the moment to eventually LS swap it, just not yet haha.

    great video but if you click on diagrams they show for instance engine angle at transmission being taken at the front of transmission that changes everything when you calculate being up now not down what do you think

    • @primegaragegma-bodylsswap2089
      @primegaragegma-bodylsswap2089  4 ปีที่แล้ว

      But the engine and trans are parallel, i.e. same angle so measurement should be the same I think

    How has this worked for you now that the swap is complete? Any wheelhop issues?

    • @primegaragegma-bodylsswap2089
      @primegaragegma-bodylsswap2089  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      None what so ever. I do have anti-hop links (change the IC under load and forces traction) between the upper control arms and differential. Video 25 shows them pretty good. Between those and the adjustable length upper arms I think is what helps.
