I ziptie the full size one to the battery strap on my smaller quads and just use the standalone battery. Just got to get in the habit of charging it from the USB port every once in a while when back home. I may try the mini on one of my outdoor tiny whoops though. Thanks for the review.

Never thought I needed one until I lost and flipped over a field with tall grass that was knee deep. Lucky I was able to use the clouds as reference to where the quad was possibly located. It flipped over and was facing upwards the sky. If it faced down, I would never find it. Looked for it for an hour under the scorching heat of the sun. An experience that would have been avoided if I had one of these things back then. Getting one installed ASAP. Thank you!

Would be amazing to compare it to motor beeping too

Oh the Finder beepers are WAYYYY louder. I would guess 10x louder.

Can bind tx12 transmitter to the radiolink receiver without external multiprotocol module

OH! I need that mini! I have a huge finder 2 on a 2.5, just barely, since I can't stand thought of loosing such an expensive toy.

I've owned one of these for months now. Never installed it, but I crashed in very tall grass yesterday. I was able to find it by using the motors as a beeper, but if my battery would have ejected, I don't think I would have found it for a while. I'm going to have to wire it up and install the damn thing. Christ! My quad already weighs 749g. I use velcro tape on my top plate and batteries though, so no chance of ejecting a battery.

Having problems using it with my Futaba 9C Tx and FrSky Rx's, it just emits a shaky screech when plugged into the Rx and switched on, and will not stop ! Maybe my system is just not compatible ? (I have it plugged in to an unused switched channel, but switching it off doesn't work....)

@@RCwithAdam1 i would say a mixture of me being an idiot and bad luck. i wanted to test out the iflight fullsend li-ion 4000mAh battery and see how high i can get my quad, turns out really really high. i gradually climbed for 4 minutes straight in horizon mode (even surpassed cloud cover), then descended right away but then i realized i completely lost orientation and had no idea where i was (no gps installed of course). lost video link all of a sudden and that was it. i didnt even know where the search for the quad. the next day i searched for 2 hours on google maps for the last images i saw on my SD card saved drone video before the link interrupted, turns out my quad was blown away by wind more than 3.5km (!) in only 4 minutes, there must have been heavy winds high up which i simply did not realize. needless to say i learned my lesson: will never fly without GPS Rescue or a powered buzzer ever again

@@philipp8803 seems like buzzer wouldnt help much in that situation... You need vifly GPS mate for that...
