  • This one is my grandparents' stove purchased at least 85 years ago.watch as it goes first try! (well on one burner).
I did get both burners going after a little bit of faffing.

Love that sound the burners make once they get to cooking. Enjoy your breakfast at camp. What are winters like there?

      Hi there.
Where we are we get a lot of frosts, but no snow unless we are up mountains.
The rain can be incessant with old SW polar blasts.
The good days always follow a frost.

@@bagheerasadventures very few things as pretty as a sun rise on a bright clear crisp day with a heavy frost on the ground. For a few moments there before the sun gets too high it is as if the whole world is sprinkled with silver glitter.

That's a good wedding present to receive. Well done for firing it up.
As you seem to working through your collection of stoves etc, do you have a Thermette kettle lurking in the depths of a shed?
    Best wishes
    Al

@@bagheerasadventures not the same as a copper thermette, but I have a Petromax kettle which I like very much. Much, much better than a Kelly kettle.
Something for your list for Father Christmas.
      Best wishes

If you decide to restore look up Charlie Tango 1 (there in the UK) he restores them and has informative information, he also can tell you what to do for that leek on the first burner. O by the way he also makes leather goods, very nice person. God Bless
