I've owned a lot of Harleys since 1976, but i bought a new 2018 Road Glide Special and it's my favorite bike of all. Love taking road trips on it. 500 miles a day is no problem on this bike.
I see another bike in the garage here shortly. Bought a road glide for my 27th bday, so 6 years ago, and haven’t looked back. No regerts, not even one letter.
Hey guys, I have to agree with the majority of your comments. I rode Softails, Dyna’s for years and love them bar hoppers are great for short distance riding. I been on a street glide for sometime and love it, long distance comfort and great for short rides, it’s nice to throws clothes, jackets, etc into the hard bags or attach a luggage rack for long hauls. You won’t regret the switch 😎
I totally agree I love my electra glide and the storage is amazing. You just never know what you might buy out on the road and need to get it back home.
You gotta love a Road Glide! I traded a ‘14 Street Glide Special for a ‘21 Road Glide Special, viva la difference! Did a stage 2 upgrade with Power Dual headers and VH slip-ons, dyno tuned to 110 hp and 124 lbft. Plenty of go power for this old Okie biker!
Went from a Road King with stock pump up air shocks.(Road like a Cadillac). To a road glide special that road like a rock.( Even with the shocks clicked down to softest level).

I truly love your videos, especially anything to do with a Road Glide. I'm a first time Harley owner so the more ideas I get to make the bike mine the better.
That bike is gorgeous. I'm 53 and should be getting into baggers, but I still love my 07 Night Train too much. Yeah, it hurts riding over an hour, but she's my baby 🤘🤘
I got my first bagger when I was about your age they are comfortable and easy to ride. A brake up grade on your Dyna would help it. And it would be good content.
Yep ... lights look GREAT ! You DEFINITELY look & fit better on the Road Glide! I have owned both a 2015 Road Glide S and and a 2017 Street Glide. I am 5'10" so the Street Glide fit me better. Both are the ultimate street or touring bike !!!

I went from softail to bagger never thought I would ever. But I did do it first few months it took some getting used to it.but then something weird happened I jumped back on softail and was like who's bike is this. I had gotten use to the bagger and I didn't know strangest thing. Now I get on the EG and home 🏡 Eric remember I bought the 2001 EG standard went through almost the whole thing anyway I'm rambling. Morel of this story is you will be riding a old man's bike any day now. Lol thanks you guys are the best 👌 👍

I'm not late in seeing this video, the road glide special would be my next bike if i was too get rid of the fatbob. They look fantastic, the wife would love touring on one, amazing what a huge difference something as simple as lights do to change the look of a bike. There's one I've been looking at in Manchester Harley-Davidson England, it's had a reverse gear added to it, a very useful addition.

Currently on a Road King (in Texas) and a Fat Boy (in IN). Love my Road King, enjoy riding the Fat Boy. Looking at a Street Glide... I think I would prefer the batwing turning with the handlebars (Street Glide) vs. the fairing standing still (road glide). Curious as to what feedback you and your Beautiful People have on the differences apart from aesthetics and personal preference.
Awesome bikes! The best way I can say from riding both, I prefer the lightness of the steering with the road glide fairing. I don't like how heavy the batwings feel.
Use to have a street glide but never went on any long trips so I bought something different however if I were to buy another touring bike it would definitely be a road glide although the new lowrider ST is pretty sweet and I've heard some say the best of both worlds? ... Any how your dad's bike is sick and like him I would always end up with a black bike.

I have had 3 Harleys in my lifetime. An 88, 96, and my current 107 M8 street glide. At this point there is nothing new HD can do but move forward with the Revolution Max engine format that higher tech, cooler running, less labor intensive, and single oil fill and drain. All other stuff is merely cosmetic.
I like the street Glide. Still, I believe the Road Glide is a step up. More useful storage in the ferring. You being taller. RG a better choice. 11 hour days killing me. Love my job. Ahh nope 😃

I used to think road glides were ugly. The redesign wasn't much but enough for me to no longer hate them along with my wife liking them too.

Can't deny the comfort and convenience!! We will definitely add a bagger to the fleet at some point, just can't part with our Softails and Dyna! 🤣

Yes in 2006 Honda Goldwing put the first airbag on a motorcycle and the new 2023 still has them

That’s Eric’s dad’s bike and he is shorter than 6’3..you should be fine at your height!
