    This is the most clear, concise and easily understood video I've seen on the subject.

    I hate the sound of Logic's Flex Slicing algorithm, I can hear it working. I use a similar method but instead of flexing the parts I "cut at transient marker" to create many audio regions then use Quantise from the Event List to move the regions to the grid. Then I manually deal with the cross-fades. It takes longer but sounds better IMHO.

    Thank you very much for eye-opening instruction☺❤...just one thing, group editing will work when the tracks are EXACTLY the same lenght ONLY..my hardly earned experience😅

    The problem for my is that my computer isn't powerful enough to do this. MBP 2015

    Im so confused, I have all my drum tacks grouped, flex enabled, kick and snare top set as Q references but when I click a region and it selects them all for the group the quantize option disappears. Quantize settings only appear when I've not selected a region.

      Is there a problem with having some of the tracks in take folders?

    Hey man! How did you fix that weird snare issue at 11:54 during the fill when it flexed the snare sound from quantizing? It seemed different on playback at 12:32

      @THLTheHitLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Nice that you picked up on that! I think disengaging the flex time to hear the “before” and then re-enabling to hear the “after” fixed something on the quantize phase lock across the channels.

    i followed everything in this video am my drums still sound like shit. even though they're phase-locked. the drums sound echoey once quantized (even when i put it on "slicing")

    How do you save the edits?

    • @THLTheHitLab
      @THLTheHitLab  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      You could either save a new session in file, project alternatives and save new alternative. Or alternatively, you can just press ‘command S’ on mac and it will over write your existing project and save your edit as the latest update. It is advised that you save an alternative but you can always go back to your original edit if you de activate flex time after you’ve done your edit. Your edit will only be active if flex time has been set as active.
